Never understand rugs under dining room tables, food gets dropped and drinks get spilt,,. I like the floor bare, easier to clean up..My opinion only 🧡🧡🧡🧡
For rugs on carpet, you need to get a foam pad or carpet pad to go under it. It stops the furniture from indenting and wrinkling the rug and it’ll look like it does on wooden floors.
A rug would Look great in the office in the carpet! It will give it some design on the solid carpet and be more decorative. It’s what you like and not what the viewers like even though we appreciate you wanting our input, it’s your home and you have to see it everyday. I think a rug would look great!
You are right about that. I cannot function in clutter, I am redoing my home office now and getting rid of excess stuff I don't use. What a cute FurBaby.
Love the rug under table… a warmer pulled together look. You will soon see why rug doesn’t work over carpet in a busy room. Three items on desk look great.
You can buy wheels to attach to your desk drawers from amazon. I get wheels now for alot of my heavy furnature right when I buy them new now (coffee table, end tables, book shelves). Makes things so much easier to vacum around etc.
Hello, nice video. I'm from Germany. A little tip from me. If you had taken the drawers out of the cupboards beforehand, you would have been able to carry and transport them more easily.
So sweet!! George fits into your room perfectly ! He matches and looks all fluffy and glam !!! Absolutely the most perfect "decor" ! Poor "Pearl", every winter I get the urge to buy her a little white fur stole.
You are right the candle holders look messy on the desk. I suggest a clear office mat under the desk. This will allow the chair to roll easily. The clear office mat has a structured surface leaving the carpet smooth and seamless appearance. The mat is very affordable and won't pick-up on camera. Please return the area rug to the dinning room it looked amazing.

Hi Ashley. I like not having a rug under your table. You can put felt pads on the bottom of the chair legs so they slide without much noise. I love all the changes in your office. I think the grouping of three items on the corner of your desk without the candlesticks. Have a great week.

I love the rug in the office it fills out the space between your desk and the Futon. I have put a large rug in carpet before and the rug bunches up because it wasn’t anchored or something. Your decorating your new office is so beautiful. LOVE LOVE seeing sweet George in your office he is so precious. I also like the dining table without the rug I think the chairs would move easier ❤️❤️
You should try a jute rug! It would look so pretty there and hold up with the doggies coming in and out. Check out Joanna Thornton’s dining room they look so nice.
I love the new office space, as opposed to where it was before. The carpet must also make it slightly less “echoey” for the voice-overs (not that I’ve ever noticed an echo). I definitely like the rug in the office, as it adds a bit of visual interest. Without it, it’s just a lot of flat, grey-on-grey with the carpet and walls. I think what I like about no rug in the dining room is that the wicker of the chairs and placemats is better highlighted.
Yes it really helps with voiceovers in there! I’m really liking the no rug in dining room for now. We had a coffee spill yesterday and it would have been all over the rug so dodged a bullet there
George stayed a good while. I agree about cluttered spaces. It makes me uncomfortable to be in cluttered spaces. I like stuff. But there's a place for everything. I agree about buying something when you really like it. Because you'll eventually use it. I like the rug going the 2nd way. The table looks good without a rug. I bought a new light for my closet. It makes me smile

Ashley it looks very nice . I like the rug , i think it helped alot. Maybe you do need a big mirror in there they say it makes your room look bigger and brighter. I like a rug under the table. I think its easier to keep clean doesn't show the dust and dog hair as bad.

Hello Ashley. I totally agree with you on the daylight lighting. It never really occurred to me before because I think back a few years ago, bulbs were just bulbs. But, I always hated the yellow/orange glow of the warm or soft white bulbs. As I'm getting older too, I have noticed that I couldn't see as well. So, I totally copied you and I have changed every lighting fixture, every bulb in every single room of my house. I absolutely LOVE the daylight bulbs. Everything looks so much nicer and I can actually see now without having to use a flashlight to read small print. ROFL. XOXO'S

Lowes by me is clearancing a bunch of stuff and I got a cultured two sink vanity top and a gray marble with under mount sink vanity top for $20 total for both. Always check them. I also got plastic 4 shelf garage shelving for =$1.74 each.

Looks good. I prefer the 3 items on your desk, candle sticks make it cluttered. Dining room looks good both ways, but I think I prefer the rug in dining space and get a smaller area rug for your office. I always shop my house too, I keep a Billy cabinet in our finished basement with extra home decor. I love that light fixture. My husband and I disagree over the daylight bulbs, I prefer daylight and he prefers warm light so we have a mixture of both. Happy Wednesday! 🙃

Hi Ashley - I watch faithfully but seldom comment but I have been wanting to tell you for a while how much I love your new style in your house. You have nailed it. I like office too and I think the dining room looks good without the rug. The only two pieces that I think don’t belong is the fireplace in your master and Pearl in your office. I love love loved your master with that mirror that was in there. It so looked so chic and stylish but with that said I can understand being attached to those to pieces and its your house and you should have what brings you joy. That dining area is the perfect wall space for some kind of DIY wall trim. It is crazy popular right now and would look so good in your space.

Maybe the rug under the diningtable was to light in combination with the table. A darker one is maybe more pretty. Just a thought. 🙂
