Number one they need to start paying better and they need to advertise to stop calling 911 for bullshit.

Part of it is the pay. But it really is HOW ABOUT WE RUN SOME REAL EMERGENCIES? YOU CAN GO MONTHS WITHOUT USING YOUR SKILLS.. Ems has turned into customer satisfaction instead of patient care. It's a joke. You know why it takes so long to respond? Because we have to respond to the idiots who want an ambulance but don't need one. "I need an ambulance because I ate too much and I'm not full". "I need an ambulance because I have had chronic back pain for 3 years but I need to go to the hospital". "I need an ambulance because I was bit by a mosquito and now it's itchy and I scratched it". Actual calls. But nobody wants to report on that. Give the that STEMI, stroke, shooting or overdose. I live for that. But emt and paramedic school don't teach you that you'll use your skills MAYBE once every 3 months. People use ems as a taxi when they know dang well they could have driven themselves.
