  • Ekaterina Gordeeva is a two-time Olympic Champion and legend in figure skating. Katia recently had the chance to participate in the Crave TV series 'I Have Nothing' with her husband, David Pelletier. Katia and David performed a program choreographed by Carolyn Taylor, a comedian with absolutely zero experience. I had a chance to catch up with Katia, learn about her experience filming the show and hear what keeps her learning and improving on the ice.

I went to college in Central FL and used to go to Stars on Ice every year having seats right on the ice! Katia and her 1st husband lived in Tampa. After he passed away, I saw Katia skate and one year she recognized me, skating right in front of me for approx one minute smiling right at me. It truly made me day !!!

I, along with the rest of the world, was shocked at the death of Sergei, and since I love quartz crystals, I really wanted to give her one. Fortunately, after a show, I had the chance to give her one, and since that time, I have always felt connected to her. I am so glad that she has done well and has a good life. I will never forget watching the pair skate - they were the best.
