The new 200xl motors have this awesome little bucket underneath the oil filter, as if the engineers are symapthetic to the mess that can be made when replacing an oil filter thats fixated upside down in the engine. Awesome idea. It also has its own small drain hole with a plug that you pluck out and let any oil inside to drain out
I have a 2016 Verado 175 and every piece of documentation says oil capacity is 6.3 quarts, EVEN the plate on the engine. I did my first oil change on it recently and it took over 7.5 quarts to fill it up. My marina said "yep, they take almost 8 quarts." I don't understand all the incorrect info out there about oil capacity....

What was the final diagnosis for your water in oil? We now have the same problem.

I don’t think synthetic vs regular is your biggest problem here
Cappuccino runs out of your motor
It's going to be ugly in there. Can't wait to pull it apart.
What a nightmare to see that sludge coming out of the drain. In this motors you need to be careful to not overfill with oil.
