one of the funniest moments of the old days i remember was one saturday night fred blassie, managed by capt lou, was going to fight pedro morales on television for the heavyweight belt. blassie shows up with his arm in a sling, captian lou has a doctors note that says blassie has a bad shoulder and cant wrestle. as vince mcmahon is reading the letter they both attack morales, choking him with the sling nearly killing him on televiosion. the best part was the interviews later on with pedro and then capt lou and blassie. a classic that has stuck in my mind for years. i wish some one had the video of this!!
"The Captain" was the *BEST* interviewer, in my time (WWWF/WWF wise), bar none!! Sometimes he liked to go overboard and/or talk *TOO LONG* but nevertheless; the *BEST* on-the-mic, interviewer.
There will never, ever be another one like Captain Lou!
Captain Lou entertained so many during his time. RIP Captain Lou. Missed but not forgotten for sure.
goldmine turned to lead! LMAO. Captain Lou was great on the mic!

Cap't Lou was the master of gibberish on the fly!! Laugh-out-loud funny!
I heard he invested most of Snuka's money on a hamburger chain in India.
I heard it was on a ice factory in the gobi desert
The Rock stole the parakeet joke, it’s in all his greatest lines videos. Credit Lou
I heard Johnny Valiant use it years before The Captain. He used hummingbird.
Imagine having a beer with the two of them. RIP.

When he starts talking about leverage I lose it.
Almost as bad as the US spending several trillion in Afghanistan and not even coming away with a T-shirt. 😂
