Antonio Aguilar was a real charro and he could definitely sing on top of the horse. He was really skillful with the horses among other things. Antonio Aguilar is known as "El Charro de Mexico" (The Mexican charro). The Aguilar family has owned up until today really amazing horses and well educated. There is a breed of horses which sort of tap dance because of the shape of their legs. They are trained to do it to music.
By the way, the boy is singing Gypsy style from Spain and the man is signing Mexican style. The blending of the 2 styles of singing from 2 Spanish speaking cultures that were separated is also symbolic. There is a lot going on in this song.
