@@thebracketfactory Thanks for the comments, I have been racing MGB-GT's, MGA's and FF's ... Maybe time to something different... Just the fact that there is no harnas and roll hoop scares the hell out of me with open wheels.. Seen to many flips on the track...
Very interesting as my brother in law is building the exact same car I welded his rear tub and currently getting the bonnet rolled up great videos beautiful car
First time visit. Beautiful car. Just an FYI on alternator output. An alternator wired in the Delta configuration, as opposed to the Wye, provides more charging current at lower RPM.
Its a beauty attention to detail 100% totally looks like a 1940s / 50s GP car love it such a credit to your engineering and fabrication excellence thanks for the video what's next please ?.
I am interested to know why the battery went flat so quickly ? I run my A7 special with the dynamo disconnected and it will go for days / weeks on short trips, before I need to charge it up. First indications that a charge is required is when the starter motor starts loosing spin up speed. Lovely car by the way....! Thankyou...
DVLA allocated TXS to my 1935 Morgan three wheeler following a six month battle to retain its original registration. I presume they gave you a Scottish one too.
TXS seems to be the 'standard' vintage reg to allocate at the moment - I saw a (re-registered) Fergie tractor with one a few days ago. To be honest I was just happy to get a V5 for it!
Hi Martin, yes the are hydraulic and work very well thankfully - I can easily lock the wheels up. I bled using a vacuum bleeding kit initially, and the a final bleed with the help of someone pressing the pedal down.
Thanx for taking us along! That was fun! Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's the bees knees, love it.
Thanks!
Looking sounding great I just noticed your car’s name she has same name as my mum. Well very happy to see her out ready for the summer.
and the same name as my daughter !
Great video, you intrigued me to get racing with a 7
They are fantastic fun - you don't need a massive engine! (but it's nice to have a choice...)

@D3Sshooter yes.. that is a very good point.. the supercharged cars running on methanol will do well over 100 mph 😬
Nice! It certainly sounded good.
Cheers Nigel!
Lovely! What a beautiful little car it is, such a ‘classic’ shape. Will be thrilling to watch in a race (I presume you’ll race it?!). Thank you. Les
That's the plan Leslie!
can't wait to see this gem a little bit sideways.
@@thebracketfactory Well, it is pretty enough to just sit and look at it!
The look on your face showed just how worthwhile the rebuild was.
I'll confess I was like a kid in a toy shop!
You looked so chuffed driving, what fun. Thanks for sharing your journey
haha, could you tell?!! Probably the slowest car I've ever had but gave me the biggest grin! Thanks Paul 👍
Brilliant, a great success. Well done. Makes me want one!!
Thanks ! I think everyone should have one ;-)
What a great car to run around in. You have done a fantastic job with this project.
Thanks 👍
Great looking car 🍻😎👍
Thanks 👍

Do I know your brother in Law?! (or does he know me..?)

oh! I will deffo google that now - thanks!!!
well done mate ...looks awesome going up the road, you looked very happy , i know that feeling as you know ...fair play dude 👊
Cheers Bryan - it's a great feeling isn't it! Particularly when you start to get confident that nothing will fall off or go wrong!!

Thanks David! next up... make a handbrake for it! (Then do a few bits to prepare for racing!)
Brilliant!
Thanks Rob !
Congrats! Does the aero screen work well? Looks super!
It does actually work! It stops the bigger flies getting stuck in my teeth !!

I think it was a combination of the battery being a bit low already and the fact that I run an electric fuel pump, water pump, and fan....And thanks!

5:39 is that a vented master cylinder? Another possible cause for funny brakes..
I thought all MCs were vented ! (need to google that now..) - But brakes now work really well thankfully...
How does the bump steering feel?
It feels pretty good actually - the lanes around me are pretty bumpy and the car isn't trying to dart all over the place!
Is that road legal then ?
it's road registered, taxed (free) and insured. No MoT needed for a 1932 car. So yes!
@@thebracketfactory thats great thanks.
Sooooo, Prescott?!?!?
It would be rude not to!
Got to agree: it’ll be brilliant fun driving up Prescott. Maybe Shelsley Walsh too?
Hi, you are using hydraulic brakes! Did you have trouble bleeding them?
Hi Martin, yes the are hydraulic and work very well thankfully - I can easily lock the wheels up. I bled using a vacuum bleeding kit initially, and the a final bleed with the help of someone pressing the pedal down.
@@thebracketfactory I fitted a hydraulic handbrake to mine and I wonder if this might be giving problems on a single line circuit 🤔
@@martinhacche1329 - ah, yes, that would make things more complicated. Where the brakes OK before you fitted that?
Mine seem to be poor🤕
Have you had any joy fixing them Martin?
same name as my Wife..
She's named after my daughter 💌
