For those who don't know, Broken Arrow is a term used by the U.S. Government for any accident involving nuclear weapons, up to and including accidental detonation, which does not create the risk for a nuclear war.
It's also (according to Hal Moore) a codeword used in Vietnam over radio to indicate an American unit was about to be overrun. Maybe it was a weird one-off SOP.
@@west3979Both are correct. For the Navy and the Air Force it was use for incident involving nuclear weapon. For the Army and the Marines it was use when a US unit was about to be overrun
@@eddy_malouempereur_du_cong6536 I think in 'Nam it was essentially 'At my coordinates" fire support request, dump everything on frontline, while US soldiers are trying to find cover, or they will be overrun anyway
I mean, the name does seem a little tense. It's literally called broken arrow, which refers to a nuclear weapon which is lost or accidentally fired. Maybe I'm looking into it too much (this is just my personal analysis) but the meaning I get is almost something like, in the face of conflicts between nuclear powers, the danger that militarism/jingoism can play in accidentally setting off deadly conflicts, and that's the eeriness of it. It hypes you up and seems exciting and victorious, but in the background a small misunderstanding or accident could be what results in mass destruction.
Every time I hear this soundtrack, it reminds me of a movie or game set in the '70s or '80s with the US military. US military starts off with a bang, but then they screw up and everything goes to shit.

The song that plays when the 101st Airborne singlehandedly carry the South African War
I smashed the South African war, however the 101st Airborne was completely obliterated when they were out flanked during a flanking maneuver.
This is the soundtrack of my 3 American 40-width volunteer divisions solely carrying the Indonesian civil war
pretty much the vibe I was going for, haha

My 2 airborne volunteer divisions showing the Reichshild what proportional response is.
Hands down one of the best tracks of the new OST
No eerie drama or tense moments, just getting shii done
I'm glad you enjoyed! This song was a treat to record.
blessing from Caesar :D Absolutely was enjoyable to hear and really matches WerBell's Russia or the OFN. would love to hear more like it

This sounds so so much like Tool's "Pneuma" and generally fits very well with their entire latest album.
Time to make a cover version of my song but I Tool-ify it
