@@georgehollins Yes, you have to do this! His fashion sense is both sophisticated and crazy. He loves to take risks and play with his outfits. Even when he misses, it's still enjoyable to watch. Also, if you liked this MV, you would like Key's MVs, because outfits in "Good Evening" have his style written all over them.

haha key was just talking the other day about how heavy the shoes they've had to dance in for their new comeback in are, props to them for pulling it off! loved the breakdown of these looks, the fashion in this mv has always stood out as so cohesive and sophisticated but in a casual and playful way

The comments already mentioned this a lot but Key is a very core person when it comes to fashion designing. He doesn't just take part in it but Key also wrote his master thesis about fashion that was presented at an international conference in Vienna, Austria. Unlike others, Key doesn't use his artist status under SM when he landed a position as one of the official designers in SM but he actually prepared a whole presentation to showcase his opinions and views of fashion to the designing team of SM personally. Since then, Key has been trusted with designing SHINee, especially for their concerts.
I would really really love it if you can give opinions to his airport fashion because trust me when i say Key really woke up in early morning as if he's ready to catwalk the runway

But i agree with the 1of1 recommendation it was released on 2016 and yet nobody has ever copied it yet because of SHINee's print.
SHINee, hurray! When it comes to fashion, they've always been on the cutting edge. When they were rookies, before Key got older, it was SM's stylists choosing their fits. Just for kicks, you should watch their Lady Gaga cover(s) - those SM stylists were basically willing to put the SHINee babies in ANYTHING . . . especially poor Taeminnie.

Finally! SHINee reaction! I use to have a bias, but in the end all of the 5 members became my bias.
shinee are literally trendsetters in the industry, it's what they're known for!
key especially is literally a massive korean fashion icon. (and he's usually one of the main fashion directors for shinee's comebacks, concerts, shoots ect.) like, if he gets photographed wearing something, then that's the new trend, and everyone will be wearing it next season.
he's known for being daring, and expressing his identity through fashion, and breaking the boundaries of gendered fashion. he's quite passionate about it, and hopes for a time when people just wear what they want, and not worry whether it's 'male' or 'female', and for others not to bat an eye.
he's very well respected within the fashion industry too, and not just in korea. he has connections in london, tokyo, la, new york, paris.....his impact is huge!

Yes!! SHINee!! Since their earlier days they have always been trendsetters! Here's an excerpt from a Billboard article about SHINee about their 10th anniversary in 2018:
*"They were the first K-pop boy band to gain prominence for leaning into brighter, slimmer, and altogether more boyish looks, a shift away from the darker ensembles typically commonly seen on K-pop boy bands in the mid-2000s. The group's gone on to explore numerous other looks, but they're still leaders of fashion in the K-pop world."*
SHNee is the chameleon of K-Pop. They always been experimental with music and especially fashion! They set several trends in K-Pop and a lot of idols look up to them.

Yes! Thank you for this! SHINee has some fantastic fashion and looks throughout their career. They made me want to buy those suits as well and style them like that, with chunky trainers and I'm a girl lol, but they look so great in what they wear I want them too!

Recently in an interview Key has revealed that SHINee's outfits for View era was his ideas (I rcm you check the MV for View for futher details). Like, I know he has contributed a lot for the look of the group but the fact that he also visualized View era's outfits is incredible! Anyone in 2015 must have known the Kpop old skool fever, which literally stem from View. Young Koreans started styling like SHINee for the whole year, and that trend even globally spread to many other countries (I can verify that, my country's young people loved that a lot). Key just doesn't stop making us fans being proud!

Key from SHINee is THE fashionista of Korea. You should really check him out.
Although post-2015 SHINee's fashion is mainly Key (as everyone has said), I just wanted to mention that before that the label stylists had more/most of the say (or all of it, especially at the very beginning).
But even then they have always been known for almost always having a more interesting/forward fashion concept compared to other idols in whatever era they were promoting (even if some of the concepts are better than others, of course).
Maybe I'm just old now but I'm still not quite over Dream Girl era (2013) even if maybe it wasn't their best hair era... the colour/pattern/print mixing and palette of the whole thing was just ❤️❤️❤️
(P.S. I'm not saying this to minimize Key's role; he's always been my bias since 2009. Just that most of them have mentioned at one point or other that 2015 is actually the point where the label started consulting their opinions more when they rarely did before (it might be significant that this point happens right after Jonghyun's solo album debut, which he was quite stubborn with the label about maintaining creative control on), and Key took that opportunity to start proposing his own fashion concepts and project ideas to the label and was later made the group's fashion director.
I believe Key first styled some of their concert outfits in 2014; since he did well at that SM was probably more willing to trust him going forward. Also I wouldn't be surprised if Shinee having more creative control was part of their renewed contract that they signed in 2015 (7 years after debut).
i agree with this. for me their style became more distinctive starting from the Sherlock era

boy you have just begun to dive into Shinee fashion. They are the icons of he Kpop world and set the trend for a LOT of the current Kpop looks. And one thing about them.. every comeback, every new album is a completely different look that they haven't done before. They were SM's experimental group and they constantly try out new Genes of music and fashion.
also someone needs to find the fan video from their US concerts where Key talks about his Gucci got burned on stage lighting.

Kim Kibum aka Key is pretty famous as a fashion icon. The song is not exactly as happy as you may think. It's more like they're making the best of a set of difficult circumstances. In any case Shinee is totally amazing.

About the baby blue suit... in SHINee's Our Page MV, at the end Key is wearing a light blue suit (seems greyish in some takes) AND styled with a black long sexy necktie, sooo classy!! the song is a bit sad and looks are tight so if you don't react to it at least check it out privately!

I was hoping for a little explanation about Key's outfit (the jean jacket outfit) but I really enjoyed it anyway.
I recommend you "Marry to the music", "1 of 1" and "I want you" from Shinee.
But if you could watch Key's MV "Wanna be", it would be fantastic. He's a fashion icon in Korea and you can see it on that video (many unexpected combinations!)
