I love this whanau.... their aroha for us helped kept us city kids in touch wit our Maori and therefore right from wrong. I was 18 and lost then and the wehi whanau gave my drunk arse unconditional aroha and patience. I am 58 now been dry for just over 20 years and because of naan, pop,Vicky her whanau and hapu , I learnt that the Reo like te Maori can never be lost. I also went on to attain a diploma in education Kura kaupapa and a degree at Waikato uni in my early forties. I was with Burt, Val and Mita when the Kura o te Rakipae whenua was started then we moved to the marae. I live a rewarding life giving back at every opportunity to make up for the aroha gifted to me through my life like Te whanau wehi. He mihi mihi mutunga kore. Naaku noa Mareti Kume
