All religions come from Africa and Africans. Sungazing, putting the palms together, focusing eyes on the forehead, singing, rituals, chanting, etc., were all the family traditions and "best practices" born out of Africa. The other continents picked these up, studied them, expounded on them, institutionalized them, preached on them to help their own communities.

swamini vimalananda ji's interview was good. i have also heard her other lectures and they were god to. but i have one doubt that why does she contradict her own contention? when talking about a concept she says we cannot just make our own idea about a concept like god and then say i accept or reject it. just like einstein's theory of relativity. we can't have our own opinion and idea about what it is and then say i reject it. we have to understand it from that person's point of view not our. similarly how right it is to see all religions and so-called religions from your opinions and personal point of view and then they all religions and so-called religions teach the same thing and lead to same path. when jesus and muhammad clearly rejected the idea of rebirth, karma and all and supposedly promoted the political ideas of eternal hell, born sinners, all no-believers to hell etc then you can't impose your own ideas on them. you have to look at these cults from the point of view of what they teach and not what you think jesus or muhammad could have possibly meant. so in essence you are contradicting your own contention. according to jesus and muhammad mythology both you are going to be tortured in hell by their "loving" imaginary god. so how can you have your idea about them and then say they also teach the same thing as the sanatan dharma? if i am a teacher and i ask a question to a class of 20 or 30 or whatever number of students and a few or more students answer my question then some may be right, some wrong, some partially correct or incorrect, some totally wrong. in all these cases i will have to judge them according to the answer they have given and cannot think like oh that student must have meant this when he gave that wrong answer, so all students are equally intelligent or competent. so i hope you got my point that not all religions or so-called religions lead to same path and hence are not equal.
This is a stupid discussion.......it has no practical value...you cannot enhance your happiness quotient by mere contemplation....there is what is called predetermined destiny..it is that which drives you to your well being or happiness or whatever, it cannot be altered or tuned in to obtain results otherwise...it is only a figment of your imagination telling you, that you are happy or sad, which is again a mere state of your mind...in other words, you forcibly believe that you are ''happy'' while your ''inner conscience'' tells you that you are indeed very ''unhappy or sad''......such situations present themselves on us, when we lose someone very close to us.... we tell others that we are not sad, but we will be.... but actual reality continues its wayward journey without your realizing it....which means, when someone like this lady tells you that you can attain happiness merely wishing for it under a total misconception or by mere auto-suggestion,or by tuning in your mind to such false-non-existent frequency, or just blindly believing that you are capable of commanding happiness at will...just because this lady tells you to....you are being ''GROSSLY MISLEAD''..you are 'hypnotized' or that you are ''mesmerized'' to suspend your belief for a brief second to tell yourself that you are happy....in actuality you will not be....momentarily to self-indulge in some kind of dream-like situation to grossly assume that you have stumbled upon ''happiness'' all in a sudden, because this over-talkative lady tells you so!!. this kind of make-believe is pure & simple ''cheating''.... no amount of logic or reasoning will make you happy,but your own attainment from your past that determines your future. if we have done positive things in the natural scheme of things in our past, they have a tendency to repeat, or recoil, or ricochet into your present life....very much like the NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION, that says...'that every action is proceeded with an equal & opposite reaction'...!!....this much is certain both from the point of view of our lives, but also from the point of view of natural & physical processes. it cannot be different. IN OTHER WORDS 'WHAT WE SOW, WE REAP'....is the ultimate truth...we cannot enhance our happiness or sadness by either action or inaction..it is all predetermined is a very scientific progression..!!.... A PROGRESSION OF THE PAST, STRETCHING ITSELF INTO THE FUTURE,MOSTLY DETERMINED BY OUR PAST DEEDS QUALITATIVELY AS WELL AS QUANTITATIVELY...... this is the final truth. many charlatans, false mystics, & pretending prophets, con-men & con-women,with a propensity to cheat you of your chosen goal of life quite often mislead you to believe that you can change your destiny & fate....this not true, it is only a total misconception. all this lady is doing is wasting her breath,she can neither reduce the pain of a terminally cancerous patient nor wish away his agony by this USELESS LECTURE..... can she do it.? she cannot....it is only a willing suspension of disbelief.....nothing else.!!!!
I am from iskcon Chennai ,as you know iskcon was founded 50 years ago from now by srilla prabhupad.I would like to interrupt to the explanation given by swamini vimala mataji by saying that mataji says during her lecture that she would like to have liberation or muksa. As per our prabhupad puport liberation is something which elevated you to brammajuti,technically call merged into brammaa jouti (emanating light frome krishnas body).According to prabhupad explanation OR purport krishna has his wone abode call goalk vrindavan.So whoever worshipers of krishna they go to krishna and never ever come back again to this world but from bramma jouti or liberation stage one has come back to this world again when his/her results of good action is finished.So therfore I think liberation is not ultimate goal of a life.
No this is completely against the Upanishads. Those who worship Saguna Brahman, such as Vishnu or Krishna etc., attain Brahmaloka/Satyaloka to be in communion with Hiranyagarbha. If they have any desires, they return to the material world. Otherwise, at the end of the Kalpa, they merge into Brahman. Those who go beyond Saguna Brahman in this very life, and attain Nirguna Brahman, are liberated forever. For them, there is no return.
All explanations are just imaginations whatever people have read from scriptures.we just discuss about unknown things. Unnecessary logics are given to prove the existence of almighty.

She needs bit more sadhna to understand the spirituality better. She is being too technical and theoretical in every aspect...
