Fishing fun Uvongo

Fishing along the shoreline in Uvongo and Ramsgate. Some scratching in the gullies and over the ledges, the wind has been blowing strong easterly for the last few days. An accidental catch of a Green sea turtle in Uvongo. The sea turtles are quite common along this stretch of coast, 5 species of sea turtle are found along the KZN coast.

Having a degree in marine biology you are landing fish the wrong way all fish big all small should be landed in a landing net. If you lift the fish out of the water on the line you will damage the fishes internal organs so if you release the fish they will die not very happy about seeing this. Thanks for your input, will definitely research that. Many of the spots we fish are not scoop net friendly, the sea is very rough and the spots are elevated. We will do our best though..

So show me how you will land a 35kg kob in a net Lawrence. You may have a degree in marine biology but you clearly have no idea about rock and surf fishing, so please go talk your kak in Australia mate.
