BLACKTAIL, KARANTEEN, BAIT COLLECTING
Hello! So i did try paddle tails but i did't have any luck😅 but i will keep on Trying so i just want to known what type of live bait work like is prawns good? and i use a light tackle
@Ben-o4m9w hi, if you are targeting kob, look for working water off a sand bank, around rocks where there is a bit of sand working/churning in the water. I mainly use fresh baits, prawns, squid, crabs, sardines, etc...depending on what I am targeting. Most times you have to work to get fish, move around to different gullies, try close in and further out, sometimes the fish are closer than you think, other times a bit further out. Tight lines👍
@finznscaleskzn1884 thanks I will give it a try grey prawns on a light tackle has worked for me a couple of times but any tips on what traces to make for targeting fish such as blacktail bronzebeam etc on prawns?

Howzit Martin & Avi I still think blacktail is one of the best eating fish and they're certainly not endangered. For us forkers what it the correct way to measure a fish? I always measure to the tip of the tail then add 5cm before I tell anyone how big it was. I went out yesterday at Ramsgate, fish weren't biting. Got a small blacktail after 3 hours, but a catch is a catch. Tight Lines Bro
@@NoodlesR6 howzit Adrian, we still hanging loose this side. I'm no expert but I think the fork measurement is for tagging, maybe in case the fish has its tail chomped off a bit..the measurement for legal size, rule is to bring the two points of the tail together and measure fron the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail..the bite has been a bit slow lately, had a good pull on ghost crab on Saturday Uvongo side, can't believe I missed it..pulled me flat! why do you call an octo leg catfish ????
Something we grew up with, the older folk back then used to call them catfish, i guess it has something to do with the wiskers of a catfish and the arms of the octopus, old habits die hard.
