Awesome video reminds me of cold nights catching herring and sprats of Hastings/St Leonard's in my teens many happy times and fish nothing better than fresh herring or sprats 4 breakfast. Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick

Thanks Nick. Really appreciate your message, yes it’s a great way of catching and something very special about learning about the tides and tidal run affecting the fish. Tight lines mate 👍🏻

Hi Mate you made shooting those nets look easy, wind, Tide, and the Drift of the boat are all important ingredients 👍

Hi mate, yes getting a bit easier the more I learn about them. Lots to think about when doing it and making them work. That being said part of it is just being in the right space at the right time - that’s fishing I guess!

Great Video Ed. Nice to see they're still about. We had a few the other day, like you, enough for a few trips out and a cook up 👍

Well you got a few Ed ,what you wanted, bit lumpy. Sander and I are going whiting bashing today (thursday), squid, mackeral and two of your herring. Felixstowe Manning end. Did a reckie yesterday, guy was there catching whiting and even had two small bass close in...Fish and Chips bonus too !!! Thanks for posting

Nice one mate, there should (will) be lots of whiting coming out at all ranges. Bass are still around and even the chance of a thornbacks on some of that herring - maybe use a slightly larger bit to get through the whiting! Good luck 👍🏻

@@Suffolksportsfishing Well we had a good day fishing. Arrived 3pm ,hot donuts from over the road. Someone in the spot I wanted to fish so went in next bay, whiting from the off then at bottom tide good knock on rod i cast as far as i could, heavy drag in, it was two dogfish one on a lost set of gear and one hooked on its back! New fish for Sander to handle so that was good...packed up at 8pm, whiting were all long and thin...they liked your fresh herring..CHEERS

@@MrTrevorhann excellent mate well done and the donuts went down well I’m sure. I had a go on the beach last night, whiting and dogs with a couple of bigger knocks but nothing to write home about 👍🏻

Hi Ed,, Really enjoying your videos,, You helped me at Lexington a month or so ago when I was making a mess of recovering my Warrior 165 ( it was my first time recovering her) great help. How do I get involved in your fishing comps?? looks like a great bunch of like minded people having a blast. Im just getting used to the area so not expecting any whoppers just yet!! Thanks again for your help and hopefully see you out on the water again soon.

Hello mate, yes I remember meeting you - you didn’t make a mess of it at all, it’s just working out the best way that works for you. The boat comps are great fun and you will meet a lot of the local lads and be part of the WhatsApp group. If you email me your details then I’ll get you added. As it’s your first comp you’ll need to buy a match measuring ruler for £15. Email is: suffolkandnorfolkoutdoors@gmail.com

Hi mate iv just ordered a network have ago myself for my shark chum for the blues and the thrashers off the south coast iv noticed you only have one boy on the end wouldn't it be better with 2 can't wait for the net to arrive and have ago ill let you know how it goes lol all the best mate

Hi mate, good luck with the netting. It’s very rewarding finding them, I am sure you’ll love it. Yes you can have a danbuoy on either end but when theres any wind the dans drift together and end up closing your net up. Having one on and downwind to the net it keeps it open and drifting across the tide 👍🏻 I am happy to help out however I can, although admittedly I have limited knowledge at the moment on it 👍🏻
