"They say I made the moon. Everything was in the dark. No memories at all. Just a tiny freezing wind in my back, and I was sitting there singing a song they had never heard before. Suddenly, a voice told me, keep on singing little boy, and raise your arms for the big black sky, raise your arms the highest you can, so the whole universe will glow." I love this part, and then the song hits and I get goosebumps =) so happy
The most awesome feeling about this is that we are all parts of it... We are all made of stardust... We are all moonchildren... What a track... What a video... Whoa...
Breath-taking, even just the song alone, but the images compliment it perfectly. I don't know really what else to say, it definitely paints so many positive and negative emotions beautifully, all in a couple minutes. Almost like as if in some weird and bizarre way this is a simple way of the universe saying "hello" to us human folk on earth... Via RUclips lol
Im one of those guys who likes all kinds of music. Im a music critic too. I like bands from U2 to bands like Metallica. But M83, is like no other band. They combine Mysterious sounds with other sounds that you cant even distinguish. I first heard this particular song on BBC's "Top Gear" My son was watching it and as Jeremy Clarkson was driving a Mercedes-Benz SLR across the oresund bridge in Denmark. This came on. A year later while in Copenhagen I crossed that exact bridge. With this song on...
Truly amazing photos and song. Its incredible to think that a million earths could fit into just one of those tiny stars in the enormous gas clouds. The scale is inconceivable. Millions of miles condensed into a tiny photo.
Just looking at that Hubble deep field pic blows my mind. How is it that people care more about worthless Kardashians than the awesomeness that space inspires. How could you not want to be out in space seeing these images with your own eyes.
We are all so Alone in this universe like billions before me my biggest fear is never feeling beauty happiness or anything again. I hope with all my heart that is not what is in store for us. what ever is out there save us
Despite the raw scientific evidence that has been presented, let us remember that this entire discussion started because of a close-minded person telling someone else what to believe. It's hard to believe that people could be so bitter, or so unsure of their own beliefs that they feel the need to tell others what to believe. Instead of arguing what's fact or fiction, why can't we appreciate the incredible work of art that is, and worry less about where it came from?
almost moved me to tears. you appreciate how small you are in comparison to everything in the universe. i suggest turning off all the lights, and fullscreening this vid with the sound at a decent level.
(Continued) It is a very spooking but great experience. To think that you are driving on a road that Jeremy Clarkson has driven on, even a road that Captain Slow has driven on. The feeling is the greatest feeling in.......the world... ps. Some say that he was the first victim of speed cameras and....On forza motorsport 4, he drove a DeLorean faster than Simon Cowell. All we know is he is....the stig. (That sucked I know)
1:53 SPEECHLESS Just think when we first knew a universe existed, we thought it was Earth and a few other planets, now look at it, massive, to think we never knew it was this big, and to just view it from a distance you will be bigger than earth, neil armstrong and buzz aldrin said it felt good to look down on the earth... Also think about it, when we went to visit the moon, we discovered the earth as well? Who actually has seen the earth from outer space before 1960's?
"It is inexcusably egocentric to both understand the size of the cosmos and believe that we are alone." There are upwards of 500 billion galaxies, quite possibly more. Each galaxy averages about 500 billion stars. Each star averages 4 rocky planets, of which one is in the habitable zone needed for life. If this is the case, then life is inevitable. Even if life was governed by chance, it would still be almost everywhere.
@GenZentertainment I dont care for cars one way or the other, and Top Gear is one of my favorite shows ever. It's British comedy, what can I expect? ... Anybody else here intentionally not reveal to themselves the identity of The Stig out of enjoyment?
There's a clip from Family Guy about a Palestinian Alarm clock that was randomly placed in the suggested videos, for absolutely no reason I can see. But I'm glad it was, because it made my night.
i love this but my friends think its fucking bs which it isnt and i am so offended because this is honestly the most amazing song ive ever heard. :) lik ei am gonna cry at its beauty.

Just looking at that Hubble deep field pic blows my mind. How is it that people care more about worthless Kardashians than the awesomeness that space inspires. How could you not want to be out in space seeing these images with your own eyes.

Same here, on the challenge where Jeremy raced May & Hammond to Oslo in a Merc McLaren SLR.

Best M83 Song
