A good friend of mine shares this movie with me 25 years ago, because I've always been sort of a hippy-chick, a free spirit who's a little different than everyone else, and makes her own way in the world, and he said rhe movie made him think of me. I fell in love with Oblio and Arrow instantly and forever. Only a few weeks after my friend lent me his movie, he died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack. I still miss him. And now this movie, and all the songs from it, remind me of him. Thanks for rhe sweet memories.
As I get older, I cherish my memories more and more
The people I've known, and the experiences I've had, have all provided great influence on me
Since I love the person that I am, I must also love everything, good and bad, that has influenced me to become the person that I am
Even though some of those people are no longer around, and even though the experiences may have ended a long time ago, they all live on, inside of me
Of course, I do get feelings of melancholy for people and events of long ago
But, my memories also make me smile, as they fill me with appreciation and gratitude
P.S. I used to have a hippie-chick girlfriend

And I cherish my memories, too. Because you're right, everything we go through, good and bad, makes us who we are today. There's a reason for everything that happens. Whether there's a lesson to be learned, or it's simply another link in the chain of events that forms one's life, it's there. Even if we never figure it out, that reason is there. And even though those memories might make us a little sad, those smiles we also feel, are how we keep the people we're thinking about, alive in our hearts.

Oh no! I'm so sorry for your loss 😔. I lost mine last June right before my birthday. He had an awesome final week though. Acted like a pup again. My buddy for sure. I like to think they're all scampering around together just having the best time.

I was 6 years old in 1971 and I have had faint memories of that song and this animation bug me on and off for over 50 years because I couldn't remember/ didn't know what it was back then.
