I filmed the ending of this I think on Christmas Eve, and the inside of Dicks was very hard to film- people kept “catching me” filming- hopefully everything I film in 2023 will be slower, less shaky and well thought out. :)
I'm loving the dead mall series, and videos like this one. Look at all that snow on the ground! I strangely find the snow beautiful! I love videos of my home area! =)
Yet another excellent video! Keep it up. Yeah Toys R Us was incredible back then. Still remember playing Nights on their Sega Saturn display. Always wanted to rock one of those Nickelodeon Shopping Sprees back in the day 😂. I would’ve gone straight to the consoles and grabbed every one of those white checkout tickets. It’s funny you mention Nights on the Sega Saturn. I played it there too and wanted to buy it, but my parents wouldn’t do it for me. Lol. Still haven’t played it to this day. I think I need to give it a shot soon. I’m so glad I can be such a bright spot in your day and help keep you motivated! I have a lot of longer videos coming out next week 🥰

I used to do stuff like this back in the day- I always enjoyed going in stores up there, and shopping around, or just looking. And malls too. I still do it down here in Florida now too, so i guess not a whole lot has changed with me! hahaha! actually, your videos have inspired me- if i visit MA this year in the spring or the summer, im gonna meet up with one of my lifelong best friends (he now has a family and a busy career), but if him and i can both find time, we will go in the auburn mall, just to say that we've finally been to auburn mall, once and for all! LOL! him and i went to malls and stores alot always. we both had that "explorative" personality trait to us.
You HAVE to take the time to go to the Auburn Mall!!! After all these years, if you come to MA, make it a must stop destination! Lol. It sounds like you guys were a lot like me! And still are!! 😄
I’ve never seen a place half ass a store in my life lol. They basically turn the power on an said “we open” 😂. And that was a real olddddd babies r us they never had a full remake inside or out. Thank you for these vids they’re bringing back memories ❤️
Well I can’t wait to show you what it looked like before it closed next week! It was soooooo dated and vintage. It was never renovated in any way, and covered in teal and pink signs. I loved it. Lol. Total time capsule store! 🥰
@@theconfusingwords I worked at the toys you did in auburn and they just covered up the painted wall of the original Jeffrey mural that they had from the original opening it was insane, so cool I can know it’s the back room so they covered it up and I used to work at the millbury Babies “R” Us, so those two videos really hit in the feels lol
@@theconfusingwords honestly in my area, it's such a crap shoot what could possibly replace closed stores. Usually makes sense but sometimes it's bizarre lol. If anything moves in at all, some places just be sitting abandoned for years. My favorite is the convenience store (Wawa) that became an urgent care LOL
Lol I literally have a McDonald’s near me that became an urgent care and it’s the weirdest thing ever. They never opened another location near by, either, the only other one is on the opposite side of town. I’d love to see that Wawa!!!
@@theconfusingwords it's great too bc there's a new Wawa built next to it, so when ur done seeing the doc u can go grab a snack 🤣 It replaced a self serve car wash so they fully wiped the land for that. That whole area is interesting, bc across the street there's a former blockbuster that became a pet store. I miss BB D:
Interestingly, there was a lot of intersection between Toys R Us and Babies R Us in the end- the video I plan on putting out next week will show them off before they closed- they sold each other’s things and some really random garbage too. I don’t even know where they were getting the junk. Also, they were selling 20+ year old baby toys lol

I've never been inside a Babies R Us but I was always curious because it had the R Us in its name. It was strictly baby clothes from what I can see.
