    My grandma and I read all of the Harry Pitter books together. They are really special to me. Also, the epilogue in Clockwork Princess is one of the best things I have ever read! It's perfect.

    Vicious and AGOS were both on my favorite books list last year. I'm a Schwabling through and through haha
    For me personally, Heir of Fire is one of my all time favorite books, even if I am falling out of love with the series as a whole with each book, because I really appreciated the hoist portrayal I saw of depression within Celaena and it was something I associated with so heavily

    What a neat tag idea. I agree with being mad about Mockingjay. Becky is obviously a great friend. My most treasured book now is The Barking Ghost by R.L. Stine because it was the book that got me into the Goosebumps books and really fueled my love for reading. I also got to meet him a few years ago and he said it was his favorite cover. It's signed by him as well so even though I wasn't as much of a fan of the actual book when I did a re-read as an adult, it still holds special memories!

    I really enjoyed this tag! And I also had to cry so hard when I read the epilogue of Clockwork Princess. It's my favourite book of the shadowhunter chronicles and though TID will always be my fave, I'm very fond of the first 3 TMI books because that's when I first discovered the shadowhunter world and fell in love with it (I was 12 at the time)

    TOG started as my favorite book series but I completely agree with you, I never understood what all the hype with Rowan was or why so many people loved him. Also as the books go on, the less and less I can stand Aelin. The only reason I liked EOS was Lysandra and Manon.

    It's relieving to see that someone loves Goblet of Fire as much as I do! I get so much hate, but I feel like it's an excellent transition between "young" Harry, and "mature" Harry, and it's where the true story is set up!

  • @TiliaHaggstrom

    You probably already know but if you don't, there's a quartet set in the same world as mistborn that's already out (the last book comes out next year) and it's really good! So when you have withdrawal from reading (what in my opinon is one of the best endings to a series) you can stay in the world. There's also going to be two more trilogys set in the same world but those won't be out for a while.

    Mistborn itself isn't over yet ACR. That's just Era 1 of the series. It's currently in the middle of Era 2 which is the world during an old west period. There will be at least two more eras coming with Era 3 being an 80's computer age trilogy and Era 4 being futuristic space opera. There might be other eras that could be coming. There are also 'short' stories in the Arcanum Unbounded collection from both eras.

    Reckless by Cornelia Funke is definitely the book that I have the most vivid and poignant memories attached to. Basically when I was young my Nana was my best friend in the whole world, but she died really unexpectedly on my 15th birthday, and to cut a long story short my life literally shrank. I stopped leaving the house, I lost pretty much all of my friends, my grades plummeted at school, I had absolutely no desire to read or write which were my 2 biggest passions at that time and that went on for nearly a year and I really freaked everyone out. Then for my 16th birthday my Mum bought me Reckless which was Cornelia's newest book at the time because she knew she was my favourite author, and I didn't even look at it for months, but over time the cover started to catch my eye and eventually I picked it up just to read the synopsis and it really really intrigued me, so I pretended I was ill one day so I could stay home from school and read it and it just totally sucked me in and by the time I was done it was like somebody had flicked a switch and I was just like "what the hell am I doing?! My Nana wouldn't want this for me..." and the rest, as they say, is history. I basically owe my life to that wonderful, beautiful, incredible book and I've since taken to collecting every edition I can find - so far I have 7 :')

    Coordinated your books down to the numbers. Impressive. Uhg I HATED Mockingjay. I was so upset like you. I literally kept reading to see if it got better AND IT NEVER DID ha. I'll always remember I was in Germany and I just felt so hollow hahah. I agree that a reread later made it a little better, but still. Goblet of Fire is my second fav book and fav movie too!!! This book I remember, was just such a big deal because of its release. It was just so anticipated to me and so different than the first three.

    hi! I'm not a native english speaker. I like to think that I'm almost fluent in english, but sometimes when I'm reading a YA book I don't know the meaning of a few words, and that's why I haven't read the Mistborn trilogy yet. Do you think I will be able to understand the world or should I read the book with a dictionary in hand?

    I posted this on your favourite series video, but I don't know if you still look at those comments, so I'll post it here again. Sorry if you see it twice.
    Not enough people have read the Foxhole Court, but you have to read it! It's self published so its hard to find but the ebooks are very cheap. It's best not to know too much when you go into it but basically it's about this made up sport, exy, (but you really don't need to like sports to love this series) and a college team made up of misfits, outcasts and people who need a second chance. All the characters are broken but so well developed and you really get to know each one. The plot is also fantastic though, so it's neither/both plot and character driven. It's a trilogy and it does tackle many hard subjects (homophobia, rape, drug abuse, crime lords,....) so it can get very emotional.

    Whoops I watched all of the hp movies before I read them😂😂 and I love them both equally. my favorite book and movie is the order of the Phoenix. Not sure if I want to read the mistborn trilogy (series?) but I do really want to read his steelheart series. haha you really got some amazing books. To this day I still don't know how clockwork princess made me cry. like I did not cry while reading it but then I finished the book and I closed the book and then tears started falling😂😂 probably the book that made me cry the most (only 3 books have made me cry. 1st one was mockingjay and part 2 was alsoo the first and only film that made me tear up. 2nd tfios honestly don't understand it now. 3rd clockwork princess)

    What a wonderful video! To be honest I've started the throne of glass series and read the first one last October, and I wasn't impressed. After what I've heard of the future books in the series as well, I'm probably not going to be continuing on. Possessive love interests like Rowan just don't sound appealing to me..at all.

    • @ObeyKhadija
      @ObeyKhadija 7 лет назад +1

      he's not even possessive people just compare him to another sjm character (a.k.a tamlin from ACOTAR) I just think people who were Chaolena shppers are salty... like he's not even possessive plus aelin don't give a fuck she still does whatever she wants

    • @ObeyKhadija
      @ObeyKhadija 7 лет назад

      I appreciate your opinion I think I just don't read into it that much because I feel like aelin is still able to be herself and she doesn't seem to be affected much by his territorial behaviour, but I know what you are saying rowen can be too much and I'm pretty neutral about his character I just think rowen shouldn't be a reason someone should not read the throne of glass series because he's literally 1 of so many other characters you can love, I hope what I'm saying makes sense

    • @alisonpelley6841
      @alisonpelley6841 7 лет назад +4

      I understand what you're saying, however a lot of people brush off his behaviour as "typical fae male", which can be extremely damaging for young girls in the fandom who think that this is what should be desirable. I think people shouldn't read the series for a number of reasons, and Rowans character is one of them.

  • @SnorriSnibble
    @SnorriSnibble 7 лет назад +1

    I actually like Heir of Fire the most out of the series because Manon and Abraxos are introduced and I loved Aelins and Rowans friendship (!). But then I read QoS and it was such a let down! Literally half of the book was just one huge cockfight between Aedion and Rowan and it was sooo boring. I liked Rowan as an 'older brother' for Aelin, but now...

    The mistborn trilogy was the fantasy series that also introduced my to a bunch of other adult fantasy books and series. I now own quite a bit but like you haven't gotten around to reading all of them (I have read Name a the wind though). But honestly I think reading adult fantasy has made me like YA fantasy less. No offense to those who enjoy YA fantasy. There's still a lot of YA fantasy I've enjoyed and am looking forward too. But I've noticed that the world building and magic systems just don't compare for me.
