It was lovely to see y’all’s reactions to these! I loved seeing your son, I think George?, protect mama’s head when she was trying out the bunk. And his comment about how BB8 would scratch the floors in the last RV. What a special, caring young man you have! I wish Matt would have shown you the class A with the bunk room in the back like they just got over at Five2Go. That one looks awesome and would have slept your crew I think. 😂 Thanks for sharing your adventures in the states! Love seeing y’all enjoy our ‘Merica!
Matt is a refreshing sales guy, lots of truths in there about depreciation etc which I liked. I’m an expat Brit living in the Midwest and here’s the thing, I understand that American motorhomes must look huge and fab to Brits and they are nice of course but honestly I still feel European Motorhomes have the absolute edge when it comes to design, quality and just far more pleasing asthetics. Fifth Wheels always impress because they’re not burdened with a cab or motor space so it’s all living space but as Matt pointed out they require a huge powerful and pricey pickup truck to haul it so add that in and it becomes quite expensive. But at the end of the day it’s personal choice and honestly I prefer your UK Kontiki it is absolutely gorgeous!!
@@RoamingRadfords yes so true, especially with kids, it is great to have more sleeping arrangements options. Just love watching your videos ! Next time make it up to Alaska !!
Loved the Brits React to American RVs video. I wanted to do one of these videos when we were in the UK. Some of the features you guys have are very fascinating.
Had a great time going RV shopping with you and Matt. Most U.S. RV's are made in Elkhart, Indiana, that might be a fun trip in the future. Also, one last thing if you're still shopping, the American car & RV market is upside down, so holdout for a deal.
Hi Radfords. Subscribed to you in UK (I’m in UK). Did you know you can stay in US for 6 m, even though the visa is for 3m. You can get an extension on request. Also,if you buy the RV in the US and live in it in the US for a year, HMRC then allow you to bring it into the UK with no import tax (but you do need to get it converted to UK standard). That’s tempting.
Crikey, those prices 😮 I’d love one but utterly ridiculous for UK roads and you’d have to add substantial import duties which will really bump up the price. Even if you did buy one and import it, most UK campsites probably couldn’t/wouldn’t accommodate it and the electricity usage would be pinging the bollards but they are so beautiful, I’d definitely live in one. Thank you for showing us these and letting us all dream 😊
@@RoamingRadfords they're the same size as a UK coach or large lorry, they'll go most places. A friend of mine had a 37' Damon Daybreak that I drove for him one summer, taking it up to Glastonbury Tor was a bit tight but everywhere else we went was fine.

The reason the B vans are as much or more expensive in some cases is you pay for maneuverability, ability to park just about anywhere & access to more boondocking type places. Off the beaten path, more remote. These big rigs are relegated more to packed RV campsites.
I also think they aren’t “standard” vehicles for the US. So they are imported or they aren’t made in the same huge numbers so that they automatically cost more money. We saw many many people driving the flatbed “trucks” as their daily driver. And hardly any sprinter style vans at all - unless they were already converted in to a camper.
@@RoamingRadfords Good point.
