Protocol of intercepting that pilot should know: morning time: if you’re being intercepted to jets appear, if they need to follow, they were gonna go to the other side of your aircraft if they use a flares and then turn to side pass your nose of the aircraft that means where they’re going circling around the airport with their landing gear on that means they want you to land at the airport ( night time: things will be different now when they appeared on their lights there were gonna be some visual on the aircraft, but the most important is the land if they need you to land, they will put down their landing gear and shined their aircraft lights and then you should turn on your navigation light
Some models of the Cessna Citation have black boxes, and if this one did, it’s probably being analyzed by the NTSB as we speak. But it’s not a requirement for light aircraft to have them.
it's BECAUSE of 9/11 that they now are more ready. Also they knew this aircraft was unresponsive. That was not true on 9/11 at least not with all the jets. Flight 93 that ultimately crashed WAS being chased by fighter Jets.
The private jet appears to have been flying on autopilot with the pilot having inputted the flight waypoints to his destination; that accounts for the slight dog-leg in the flight. He also appears to have programmed the Flight Management Computer (FMC) to turn toward his assumed landing runway to intercept the Instrument Landing System (ISL) heading to intercept the signal. That final heading to intercept the ILS signal to land on the runway heading was the last program in the FMC accounting for the straight line return heading.
I’d say if you believe it was shot down, you have a higher likelihood of believing in those things, since you apparently believe in magical boomerang missiles.
The only way to know for sure is to see how much fuel it left with, the planes total range and how many miles it flew before crashing But yes they probably shot it down when over an empty field
A restrictive air space is cylinder column above the ground rising to a height level of 18,000 feet; the private jet was flying at 34,000 feet above the restrictive air space and wouldn’t have cause an immediate NORAD response. The time delay is reasonable for an assistance call from the FAA to NORAD to investigate.
*How many times does the news need to keep reposting the same clone news per day?* There should be a news policy: whoever posts a story, keeps developing it and no other station can copy it to repost the same information. The news media just makes people want to regurgitate and vomit. 🤢 Must be nice working for a "news" station these [last days] because they literally do not need to do any work. *Just copy the identical news* posted by the other twelve news stations, add a new word and done. So proud of those air farce pilots for breaking the sound barrier over a city to intercept a cessna flying at 100 mph in their F16s. They saved the most popular president in US history, and the man who is the face of killing our country, and creating hardships on the American people. Those heroic pilots did all that, while busting the slaves windows with sonic booms. And they not only did that, but when they landed, they put on masks to show obedience to their govt gods!!! I am so proud of those F16 pilots for going up against a single DANGEROUS cessna.
They wear masks for oxygen, and the visors for the sun. They exceeded mach 1 because the cessna was going 70 to 80% of the speed of sound, intercepting the private aircraft would need a higher speed than that to reach it. Also, A sonic boom at such height will not break any windows, and if it did, you could make a claim.

So sad. I’m proud of how our military responded though. My heart goes out to those that died and their loved ones who remain.

As if he can explain within 15 seconds. Just say you need validation by acting like you know everything and go on about your day.
No black box ?

That dog was like, "I'm outta here."
This had to be the most in-depth coverage of that incident, and I commend the anchors for the precise execution of the important facts.
Imagine making a mistake and being intercepted by a F-16 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶 scary!
You can pick your friends and you can pick your jet, but you can't pick your friend's jet.
The pilot fumbled that's all.
So they can scramble fighter jets for a business plane but not for 4 commercial planes on 9/11?
Black swans are hard to predict...

The commercial planes were not in restricted airspace, at least for 99% of their flights.
@Nomen Clature this one is ...
@Nomen Clature None were shot down preventing disaster .
Truly that not rocket science.

Looks like it was shot down to me
Are you Stevie Wonder?
So these F-16s just chase down Cessnas all day
No, they protect the airspace of a country.
"it apparently ran out of fuel and crashed", if you believe that then you also believe in the tooth fairy, santa claus...

It crashed or was downed?
Just watch the video
When the missile hit that private plane, it caused quite a noise
People heard the sonic boom several states over from the crash site. I don't think the two are related.
These pilots need to learn how to fly.
In Argentina, such an interception would have been impossible, thank you to the United States for selling us the F16s.

Did they turned norad back on? What a joke

It didn't run out of fuel from Florida! Come on man! Pilot has to be awake to be escorted. They shot it down, which was the correct thing to do.

It is not a requirement for this aircraft to have two pilots, and it being shot down doesn’t make any logical sense.

but f16s and sonic booms are cool
I mean that Cessna could crash into multiple houses if they were a terrorist onboard
