Hello mate really looking into doing this for my set up. Could you commend on the amount of energy used when you winch it up? Does it drain a lot of your battery? How many amp hours etc do you have? That's my only concern, I plan to have a beefy electrical supply anyways as it's a big van got the space for solar panels. I could go through 1 use a day sorta thing in the height of summer.
Thanks for the video. Im glad I found it as I’m a 73 year old woman who has a Fat tire ETrike and this is exactly what I want to do to carry my trike to great riding places. I have been using a carry rack but I’m getting too old to lift it on 🙏👌🤗
Great video…I have a cargo van very similar to yours. I need a winch installed inside to help load and unload a fairly heavy generator that i use for my food truck business. Any advice with the installation is greatly appreciated. Thanks
I haven't done it yet, but I plan to mount the winch to the floor but in a way that it can be quickly removed. This would also include a quick disconnect for the positive and negative cables as well.
I like the winch, especially how it is wireless, but I also will be replacing the steel cable with a synthetic line. I've already snagged my hand on a stray piece of metal coming out of the cable, Plus the synthetic line may be quieter when spooling in / out.
You did a fantastic job on this van build. I very much appreciate all the thought and effort you put in. Thank you so much!
Spent hundreds of hours on YT searching for this setup!! Thanks for sharing!!!

I am curious as well
Rear Wheel in a Acebikes steady stand? Workshop perfect. Nice job!
That could be an option, but I'd have to raise the bed up an inch or two higher to account for that. I'll look into it. Thanks!

I am looking to build a "housing", or track, or whatever you call where you put your winch in- where's that video please?
