How many fly fishermen subscribed to our channel?! 🙋♂️🙋♀️
👍
Present!!!
When do you air the "swung skaters" episode?
Started fly fishing about a month ago
Here!
Addicted should do a fly fisherman’s beginners guide!!! Like if u agree
I love these guys, but they need some work on their fly casting technique. I feel bad mentioning it, but it's true.
On another note, I can't believe how many steelhead they get into, it really is so much harder than it looks. These guys are absolute studs, I'm sure they grind like you wouldn't believe. Nothing but respect for them.
Am I the only one thinking damn son those are big rainbows!!??
Here in Washington what stock most rivers and lakes while the trout are big and sometimes they even grow more
“Your gonna answer the phone and hang it up.” Great example haha.
I've been flinging and tying flies for many years, there's something very special about tying some feathers and fur on a hook and catching something. More more more. BTW it was great to see fish caught on a tutorial, theeres nothing like seeing success to make you want more. Can't wait for fishing to open up again.
Private User, I know exactly what you're talking about. The satisfaction is hard to describe. I tied my first back in 1967. I tied a box of chocolate, flowers and even concert ticket tickets to see Three Dog Night. It worked. We were married in 1971 and remain married today. The fact I tied the fly but she caught the fish, all be it a sucker fish doesn't bother me.
Awesome video. Fly fishing rocks! Extremely rare to see actual catches during the demo in any fishing video. Nice work bradda Jordan
Bank trout fishing is basically all i do. Your videos have been so helpful
Me: my lord is fishing legal?
Jordan: I’ll make it legal
Great video Jordan thanks for sharing!! Be safe Addicts!!!
My casting technique has been compared to an old lady fighting off a bee with a broom. But I catch fish. Small fish, but I catch them.
LOL
Hilarious imagery lol
I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every video on this channel related to trout and spin fishing. However, I’m going to be fly fishing for the first time this spring and am devouring that content now, so…. more fly fishing vids, please!!
Man I love your channel, I’m currently still working in ny and I have a lot of down time at work and came across your channel and have done nothing but binge watch a lot of your content. Makes my work day so much better but it also caused me to get my ass out and go fishing slamming my first brown yesterday. Thanks again keep the vids coming.
Nice to see some fly flingin once in a while. I started in 1995 when I was 16 and have been going after steelhead and trout on a fly ever since. All my other PNW fishing is gear based though. Maybe the occasional coho when I'm cutthroat fishing.
wow you finally catch a fish on a tutorial video lol
Way to go Jordan!
I would love to see more fly fishing videos!
Another awesome tutorial! That lake looks perfect for fishing out of a float tube! You really should contact Jim Teeny (Really cool fly fishing legend) and have him out with you to demonstrate the amazing sinking lines he invented. You two would have a blast fishing for trout like this. or for Steelhead and Salmon on the famous Teeny Nymph. Nice to see all fishing styles on Addicted Fishing!
dude I love all the casting tips. A casting dedicated video with a bunch of different scenarios would be great. I know it seems repetitive, but slowing it down for the newbies would be appreciated
Match the hatch is the best fishing advice ever!
Great video with some absolutely beautiful trout !! Like to see more fly fishing videos and congrats on those fish and thank for thanking us along !!
Love the fly fishing vids, Jordan. Thanks for the content.

another great video ! that is hugh trout ! thank you for the share of your fishing knowledge ! LIKED
Love the fly fishing videos
For casting help, my cast improved a hundred percent watching videos from Lefty Kreh. I watched on vhs, but they are on you tube now.
All fishing is good fishing.. nice work gents
Enjoy your videos, learning a lot. (Love the Ray Troll t-shirt.)
Wow nice fish I would love to try there with my fly rod. I'm new to it and have never caught a trout with it yet but have caught pan fish and small mouth bass
Nice job ,very well described
I'm a new fly fisherman thanks
Addicted fishing needs to come down to Pyramid Lake Nevada and check out the amazing cutthroat fishery the tribes have there. 20 lb plus fish and 10s are average.
But they have to take me.... Pyramid is a bucket lister for me.
More videos like this would be awesome
Stonefly hatch in a lake. Yes.
Nice we need a huge and addicted colab
I just wanted to see the dog get in after those fish...Great quick tips. Been fly fishing many years and used to tie a lot of flies back in the day.
Awesome video brutha! Those rainbows go loco for the good old fashioned wooly bugger 🤑
love the fly content -- im open to all styles of fishing
I love trout fishing. On the fly
Fuq yea, would love to see more fly fishing! Either way, love all the content ya’ll put out, keep it coming!
"Answer the phone and hang it up" super good tip!
Thank you so much for the video! I could never figure out how to fish in a pond. If you're fishing with an indicator. Would you cast towards cover, and let it sit?
I love fishing.
You guys should see about doing a video with Orvis and the American Museum of Fly Fishing here in Vermont some time! Also love your videos!
Great tips! Loved the video🤙
Love your videos man. Very informative and entertaining.
Beautiful fish!
Great vid keep it up guys
Nice video. Haven’t seen this done with out an indicator before. Obviously it works though
Yes more fly fishing
I was just slaying some cutties and brookies in my local streams on stone flys. I am in NW montana so ya good fly fishing :)
Enjoyed the fly 🎣
There's something rewarding about catching fish on the fly, when push comes to shove fly fishing is my go to way to fish all the way from 5 inch trout in creeks to the two largest watersheds in Washington for steelhead and salmon.... and do not neglect the joy of large mouth and small mouth bass on the fly.
Woolybuggers are my go to for streamer, nymph retrieve scenarios. They imitate everything and are very fishy.
I am just starting to fly fish and this really helped. Aslo where are you fishing
I spent all last year fishing from the shore with a spinner reel, didn't get more then a bite. Watched all your videos for trout fishing, used spinners and everything...I said fuck it, bought a inflatable boat and a fly reel and I have caught 5 fish in the last 2 days. Love trout fishing, apparently loving the fly reel and enjoyed the video boys. Keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed the video!
Holy smokes the one at 1:07 wow 🤩
So do you have a tapered leader or is the leader just standard line?
Dog's like hmmm kipper snacks..
Hay man. I really like your videos. Simple and straight forward. Most fly fishing videos remind me of Physics class. Way to damn technical.
I joyed seeing the fly fishing. I have a question Jordon. Ive been told to hold my casting arm as if I'm holding a newspaper under my arm or in the arm pit. I noticed that mostly on your long cast you held your arm high on the back cast. Is that because of the bank behind you or have I misunderstood what I'm learning? Obviously your cast worked. You got the fly out there where the big fish were. Nice job!
Casting form varies somewhat based on type of water and type of fly. My cast for small dry flies on a creek is much different from long casts on the New England coast for ten to twenty pound striped bass.
@@TheFlyFishingFilmmaker thanks for the advise Mark. The best way to learn is ask questions!
@@markoberlatz1248 thanks for the advise Mark. The best way to learn is ask questions!
this is called a roll cast. its is different than your normal dry fly cast. he is using the surface tension from the line on the water to load his rod instead of a normal back cast.
@@IMKINDOFABIGDEAL13 yes Luke I am familiar with the roll cast. I may be mistaking, yes I do make the occasional mistake lol, but I thought his arm was lifted for his back casts as well. I'm glad Jordon showed us the roll cast. It's one I need to master. I can see it would be critical to know when you have a lot of brush or trees behind you. Thanks for chiming in on my question. 👍
Everyone who goes fishing should do it in a Ray Troll shirt. It has been shown to increase catch rates by 15-25%
Lol the p-line logo is missing from the fluorocarbon
Eric Wong It’s not pline. 😉
Can you fish nymphs on bobbers with ultralite spinning tackle
Yeah you can. I use the washing line technique with a couple of nymphs under a tiny float.
What do you think them trouts weight are? 5-6lbs?
I want to go fishing where that at I'm so down
Hard to beat a Sage XP
Yo addicted, so, if I am catching a ton of trout on the molalla river (around horse creek and such), but no big boys, do you know where along the molalla I should look for big boys? any tips would be appreciated, I'm sure you know this river, and I got a trout every cast today, but no big boys (was using a small nymph so it makes sense).
Hold the fish properly. Holding/supporting them in the belly is detrimental to the internal organs being displaced which could be deadly.
Fish on brother! I taught myself to fly fish in 1972 when I was just a young buck back in Texas...good times. 🙂
What type of reel you recommend Jordon?
A fly reel.
My go to nymph is a Prince Nymph with a small bead head.
That lake rainbow was bigger than 75% of the Great Lakes steelhead lol ouch
Wat size are these nymphs?
Holy shit that fish was big! We pretty much just have small hatchery fish here. Not many that are that size that I've seen.
How do you know when to set the hook without an indicator?
Can you fish with a fly on a regular spinning rod with a small float?
George Alvarez yes I have even used with small micro split shot but the fight and sensitivity of those poles are not as good as a fly rod...
More fly fishing
Those fish were looking for dragons
Me I'm 9 years old and just got in to fly fishing
Jordan do you tie your own files
Sometimes
A private lake and jordan with a fly rod.....those fish should be scared
There was a slaying...
Must be nice fishing on private lakes
I only trust tutorials when you catch a fish. 🤣
I don’t think this video applies to California
Dude, you're cool, love the Spawn shirt, but lose the "fly rod in the mouth" pic in your promo. It is the dumbest pic in fly fishing.
Fish live in water, and their bodies are not designed to be lifted out of the water, especially in the manner shown here. Think about it, their ribs are very thin. You should try to keep them in the water, and treat them more gently.
