Okgyeong and Hyerang are lovers! The webtoon is gl (girls love lesbian fiction) but they censored the television adaptation because korea’s still very homophobic though more gay shows are being accepted nowadays it’s obvious with big names in this ones they wanted it to be able to get postive mainstream attention. They also entirely removed a female love interest of Jeongnyeon who’s in a love triangle with her but it seems there’s supposed to be some undertones with her yeongseo and juran now. The author said the romances would only be implied because it had to be left up for interpretation. And imo it’s as obvious as they could make them without outright saying it.
