😊😊😊 they are very relaxed.. joyful and caring.. bless them and their customers 🙏
Thanks for the sharing, 👍
I was staying at the block of private flat at zion Road in the 90s and this CKT uncle were already there at the food centre. Sometimes I went downstairs to eat his CKT and there were no queue at all. Now he is famous after all his years of hard work. Salute!
He’s still humble and friendly.. even bought his neighbouring hawker a Tea before he started business at 11 plus.. 😄
Thank you so much!
Char Kway Teow’s simply the best! 🤩
As soon as I can get to Singapore this is the first place I’m visiting ❤️
Do tell them when you visit 😄 they might give you extra 😂
Woow yummy.
Morn Harry! Malaysia CKT or Mee Goreng also super sedap laa 😎✌🏼🥳
Looks really good
One of the most popular local favourites here in Singapore 🇸🇬
Beo crescent market food centre and Toa Payoh Lor 5 food centre best Char kway Teow's
🙂 I’ll definitely check it out next time
Yummy, 😋
The portion is certainly very generous.... will try one day! I'm not a huge fan of char kway teow, but the couple looks like very nice people. That alone is worth trying their food. Need to budget sometime to Q I think.
Hi walkingwithme.. I’m glad I’m able to capture their warmth and transcend it in my video. Think they would be very Happy about your willingness to try even though you’re not a huge fan of CKT 😂✌🏼
I work at greatworld. Not nice. Portion very small. The portion in video is for show only.
Then you buy larger plate. I ate it’s nice if you like sweet version. I give it 9/10
Wow! Very big portion.
Indeed right?? Can feed 2
I had tried his CKT, is very nice, but Q very long
Indeed.. the wait is long.. if we look at how he fries each plate.. we can have an appreciation why.. because he takes his time to fry small batches at a time. He doesn’t mass produce and do 20 servings a wok kinda method. Try the tau gey see hum.. it’s quite a nice side dish
@@Piggypuggy yes agree with u. Other stall fried 1 whole wok than keep there.
Good food alway long que, 😂
这个炒果条好,
The place don't where dishes nices nices good😄😄👍👍💤💫💫💫💫
Amazing one stop shop.. so so many famous stalls
I queued for 45mins. Tasted it and not as good as it seems. Don't have the childhood taste
Mind sharing your fav CKT? I used to queue for Outram CKT once in a while.
I miss Char Kway Teow the place that did it here had a fire a couple of years ago and never reopened haven't found a good one since.
Where you currently residing? Far from Singapore 🇸🇬 hope you return for yummy Char Kway Teow soon!
@@Piggypuggy Not that far away and yes Singapore is first visit on my finally allowed out list I have your list of places to visit I'm just a little upset I might not get to Tanglin Halt before it is renovated
@@Morgan_Au think Singapore 🇸🇬 is gonna open up discussions with neighbouring countries very soon on the lifting of travel.. would imagine that those with the Covid vaccinations taken would be the first to travel
@@Piggypuggy Oh I'll be first online booking lol
水炒粿条麵?
The white version look like penang fried kway teow
Penang fried kway Teow uses thinner Ipoh hor fun kway teows..unfortunately there is no good Penang fried kway teow in Singapore. I’ve tried many.. but they are all a let down as compared to those you find in Penang.. the other interesting thing to note too is the portion.. they usually come in tiny servings and if old school enough.. uses a glass plate 😄
some really nice to you. have you experienced any stall holders asking who are you? why you filming ? don't disturb, go away" like that kind ah? anyway, really appreciate all your effort here. food travel through your videos.
😅😅😅 thanks for your encouragement.. as to your question.. haha.. yes.. inevitably.. alllll the time.. i mean.. it’s just not a natural thing to go about Hawkers and film them in their face.. (I’m just thick skin 😅). I try not to impose on them.. be respectful of their time. respect their receptiveness. Coz these are masters at work who doesn’t need any media socialising.. Sometimes it takes me a few visits before being familiar to them. Haha.. glad you asked 😊 and thanks for supporting my efforts
@@Piggypuggy is one of those things that many so called social views, health views wil trigger happy say oh look at the plate he use extra flavor due to heat etc, a lot of unnecessary bs comments from people who has no clue how to cook, or taste but destroy the food by saying such comments.
Sometimes the good food is better not to record and just show the stall and food. People find the slightest things to criticize when they don’t even eat there.
his isnot as good aswhen the stall was at the old location??? why different cook?oldoctionalongriver vally road
Wow, looks like not very good reviews, further down in the replies, the lady owner (cook's wife, serving), Linda Preza very angry/ upset, responding with a volatile barrage!!!! Regardless, I'll give it a try to see if proved correct by reviewers after flying 7000 miles!!!
Anyone that orders the non sweet version is normally not from Singapore, no offence here, but the sweet and wet is what distinguishes a Singapore CKT from other versions from Malaysia.
There is no such thing as a healthy CKT, eat the real thing or just eat something else.
Yeah.. the main difference that makes a SG CKT is the darker sweet sauce.. although there are also variations of darkness 😄 I find some of the older CKT usually doesn’t add as much dark sauce.. just enough for a nice brown coating
Yes, I think most S'poreans prefer yhe dark sweet sauce version.
How Lian in Hokkien “ arrogant “ I describe this guy , very rude when I asked him a question thinking he is the best char Kway teow in Singapore just because LHL patrons his dish. Hill street Char kway teow at Bedok south is much better . Only humble and friendly in front of the camera
Hello you like bedok so much
Then you go eat there!
Why you complain so much!😠
When they open what time & days! Was disappointed when I went there on monday & tuesday stall was closed.!
I was there on a Tuesday morning
they will closed on alternate Monday only
@@bobbyjack135 thanks for the info Lucas 😎👍
Law of attraction: My video recipes will be recognize by the people around the world.
I am sure it's taste and looks good but if it is halal l am sure it will be better
People who don’t like sweet are either not from Singapore or have no idea what is Singapore CKT.
I prefer the sweet version.
if possible, I would like to request do not use the plastic plate too near the cooking pot or to place the char kuey tiao immediately after taking it out from the hot pot, there are many alternative such as metal plate or wooden plate could be used! As far as I know those plastic material plate will release certain chemical and no good for human consumption! Please!
Sure no problem!
用手拿佐料,不卫生。
It sucks! Long Q but it doesn’t even taste good at all very ordinary not even near hill street ckt at bedok.
Hello if you are not happy to eat
My char kway teow dont buy next time.dont complain to much
You cook yourself.!!!
Go bedok and eat there lah!!
Or cook yourself!!
Yalor. My friend went to Q v long then come back we share, and both of us just ate half a plate n ordered something else. Telling each other, never again. If you don't like critics, don't read la, if u don't like critics, go improve lah. Hahaha
@@watiu9lei I tasted, to me it’s the best. 9/10. I went back last month, but didn’t open
