Thanks for doing this. I lived in Worcester for 7 years in the 60s and 70s. A lot has changed. Many like me who went to college there would appreciate a good look around the campus neighborhoods we knew. You came close to WPI and Clark and I kept hoping you'd show more around there.
@@ShepherdMinistry Here are some pros and cons of livinf here. Pros: 1. Affordability: Compared to some of the larger cities in Massachusetts like Boston, Worcester generally has a lower cost of living, including housing costs. 2. Education: Worcester is home to several reputable colleges and universities, including Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and Clark University, offering educational and cultural opportunities. 3. Location: Situated in central Massachusetts, Worcester enjoys proximity to both Boston and Providence, making it convenient for commuters and travelers. Cons: 1. Weather: Massachusetts weather can be unpredictable, with cold winters and humid summers. Snowfall and icy conditions can also pose challenges during the winter months. 2. Limited Public Transportation: While Worcester does have public transportation options, including buses and commuter rail service, it may not be as extensive or reliable as in larger cities like Boston. 3. Economic Challenges: While Worcester has seen economic growth in recent years, it still faces challenges such as unemployment and poverty rates higher than the national average. 4. Crime Rates: While crime rates vary by neighborhood, some parts of Worcester experience higher crime rates compared to the state average, which can impact residents' safety and well-being. 5. Limited Nightlife: While Worcester has a variety of restaurants and bars, its nightlife may not be as vibrant or diverse as larger cities, leading some residents to seek entertainment options elsewhere.
