But Javier is still a criminal and wants to prove to Eva he's no longer commits acts of crime by lying to her and showing her, he doesn't steal. After countless fails Eva is used to these extreme shenanigans. It's one of the reasons why Eva is so jealous and possessive over Javier because if he can steel someones heart while mugging them ... of coures she wouldn't want him running free, tracking his phone and even chaining him down during therapy. We even see Javier befriending a criminal when he and Eva are being robbed, leaving Eva tied up while Javier and criminal go out to a bar to get a drink.
