I just finished assembling my E4 and the switches are on the right side. I guess I read that installation manual wrong. good thing I watched this video before i powered it up and tested everything.

I just watched another guy's E4 video and the switches were on the right side, so I guess I'm going back to read the manual.

i moved the Y switch to the left side but left the other switch alone because it would be a nightmare to get it off there. that should work.

I assume this is using UGS Platform. Z-axis will be a negative read when in the work area on top of the work piece. to cut the work piece you add a negative depth -2.065 - 0.25 = -2.315 which means the work piece should have been cut?

I would recommend zeroing at the top surface on the CNC and the gcode file.

Bob you say to set the soft limits, but where do yo go to set them?

These are set once the CNC is homed. The values are in the firmware and can be changed if you have changed the cutting area. The are $130 and $131.
