I personally think the conn sounds better, it's sound is fuller than the yamaha's but man, the guy playing both has some incredible lungs and chops. Bravo
@@chrisnelson9411True, but horns also vary in intonation, and it’s not something the player has control over. So the original commenter is correct that the intonation is better on the Conn.
Levi Richards I actually owned a Yamaha Trumpet lol, I just sold it recently about two months ago. Now all I got is a King Mello, King Cornet and King Sousaphone
Easy get yo wind up. It's call. Humping in highschool. Some got it some don't .. I played sousaphone and trombone. I was the loudest trombone in Tennessee. ...1 playing for 10 I was told
Holy shit bruh, how do you play so loud and full? Great test, I personally prefer the Conn for its tone and intonation, but the Yamaha is louder and rings a little crazy lol
The Yamaha is a better sounding sousaphone. The Conn is a better built sousaphone. With my money I'd buy the Yamaha over the Conn and hire someone to reinforce it.
@@sirfloss the bolt system that attaches the valves to the frame. I don't know why Yamaha hasn't reinforced it by now. If you're in a marching band it is going to snap on you.
@@Go-Getter I've overhauled a lot of both 20Ks and YSH-411s and the Conn has a crappy valve design and the Yamahas are a way better design overall. The reason the Yamahas break often is often because after you take them apart to fix dents, things don't want to go back together and so they're forced back together putting a lot of stress and force on the braces and all it takes is a little hit to break. Trust me, my shortest wrestling match with a Yamaha Sousa was about 45 minutes most were a couple hours of trying to bend two sousaphone halves with your hands back together without collapsing the tubes.

Kason Hebert greatly appreciate that 🙏🏾
Forget the damn tubas ,this boi got some lungs on him 😮
Conn more power and deeper. The Yamaha more crispy and louder.
Love it. I work for conn as a buffer that puts the finish on the sousaphones and love seeing stuff like this!
The conn has better intonation but the yamaha is louder
Intonation comes from the player he just didn't play the same as he did the first time
@@chrisnelson9411True, but horns also vary in intonation, and it’s not something the player has control over. So the original commenter is correct that the intonation is better on the Conn.
The conn sounds better, the Yamaha is louder though.
I think the lows came out bigger on the Yamaha, but the highs were pretty similar from both. The conn was more velvety, the yamaha was brighter
that yamaha sum real boy i may need to get one
That Yamaha has a deeper tone. I usually would not say that about a Yamaha but it sounds good.
conn got it but that mah sound crispy
Nothing beats the Yam
Sounds great, crank up 💪💪
Levi Richards thank you 🙏🏾
@@Rickeytherealist1 I'm actually glad I found this, I play trumpet, bout to go back to the SWAC next fall, but dang do I want a Yamaha 411 now 😂

@@Rickeytherealist1 gotcha, I still have my Yamaha trumpet, lot of fun just gotta get it shipped back
Mans almost blatting but it’s still sounds pretty good 👏👏
I wish you would have added a petal tone at the end
Yamahas are good. That might be an instrument that you experiment with mouth pieces to get the right intonation and timbre you're looking for.
Yamaha all day
Yamaha may be louder but I bet a section of conns will carry and fill the stadium better. Sure has worked for da rock
The second horn
conn for life
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet...📯
Tone seemed different on the Yamaha than the Conn. That Conn is more open.
I had both I don’t care for the conn or king Yamaha is a lot lighter plus the sound is going to travel more without having to blow so hard
Yamya
What in the Flippin froglegs tarnation? How do you play loud like that?

Yamaha
Conn som encorpado, escuro, Yamaha mais alto e brilhante
The Yamaha is instantly louder, but the Conn has a better sound. I say Conn.

Yamaha more open than a Conn IMO
Open and always sharp trash conns make u work tone over power
That really depends on the player, not the horn tbh
Which one is the Yamaha ? The first or the second horn ?
First one is a Yamaha bell with a Conn body. True second one is a conn bell with a Yamaha body.
@@Rickeytherealist1 the first one is a Cohn if you pay attention you can see his neck and Cohn necks don’t work for Yamaha’s
@S14TT_MASTERS thats why he he said the Yamaha bell has the body of the conn so he took the Yamaha bell and put it in the conn
What mouthpiece do you use?
Back then I was on a MF3B
