Oh geez, that driving in the dark must have been so scary, I hate it when you can´t see where you're going! I've had my fair share of driving trough blizzards here in Sweden, and it's always terrifying when the only thing you can see out the window is a white wall of snow. The Chateau looks amazing though the poor road!

I love Fern's little chihuahua. Loving the lilac kitchen area. You are bravery then me driving up that road to the chautea in the dark looking absolutely terrifying. In the dark the chateau looked a bit spooky 👻 but what a beautiful place to stay.

Another outstanding video! Gorgeous places you go through. And I agree! That road was awful period here in the city we get used to having street lights. I didn't see light one out there. Have fun and be careful...as a Southern I am recommending doing a tour of the plantation homes in Mississippi and Louisiana along the Gulf Coast ...I grew up there...I adore the Gulf Coast with it's sugar white beaches...

I understand about the driving. My husband always gives me the car at the deadliest roads. We were in Colorado once where when he was driving was beautiful. He gave me the car and we hit a snow storm. I couldn't see anything and he is yelling at my driving. Go figure. Have a great trip to see your father. Love you guys

Thanks for sharing, I've stayed in that very bedroom at Chateau Rosieres, it's beautiful and steeped in history! I loved the floor, and the rooms off it too. I was fortunate to 'volunteer' for a few days earlier this year. Look forward to the next episode x

I watched Ferns' video and in one video she is so proud of the pots on the terrace, especially the turquoise one in the corner. She searched for the pots on her birthday weekend in August.
