I love this for so many reasons, but what amazes me most is that Ren has taken something that I think of as ugly and frightening and made something beautiful out of it.
Idk if Ugly is the right word. But definitely something scary.

The one weird thing is beside his musical ability you can’t help but love Ren for who he is … it’s almost where he probably always had the ability to channel his feelings into music but his struggles in life made him that much more self aware and compassionate… he has done more for so many than any figurehead claiming religion etc… as salvation… to me i anyone who can’t see REN’s light it’s because they have closed their eyes… thanks as always my friend… 🫶🏻

I think it's telling that every song is someone's favorite and it's not a unanimous "favorite Ren" song for everyone. Just shows the depth of his music and how different every track is.

Ren is special. He took a big step into the waters of the music industry and waves it created are powerful. He has changed the lives of so many people - including keeping some alive.
This song is powerful. My favourite part is the way he lets out the line “You've unleashed a sleepin' beast” like it’s a challenge or fighting words imbued with all the strength of someone who is ready to face the world and survive whatever it’s been throwing at him. Ren is truly inspirational.
It's pretty clear that the only reason Ren is still hear is his fight. His fight against himself and his inner demons; his fight against doctors and his physical ailments, his fight against the industry. Everything has been a fight.

Im glad you liked this. I’ve listen to it so many times in the past year to lift me up. The more I know about you through your channel the more I think we’re a lot alike. No one knew how bad I was until I came undone last year. Everyone thought I was happy and put together. I use music as therapy and listen every day. I’m up and down all the time but keep going somehow. I’m probably 20 years older but see a lot of the same patterns in you. I’m so glad you’re doing better and going to therapy. Keep it up. Some days feel heavy, but you have your family, your community here, your music. Take care of you.
The problem for me is I've felt but a burden my entire life to everyone around me. So to also want to ask for help because I'm drowning in myself (Papa Roach lyrics) seemed putting even more of a burden.

I love this one, especially the bluesy parts.
As a blues lover I can't agree more.
Since discovering Ren not long before you did (yours was one of the early reactions when I went looking for them) I have cried more often than the whole of my 50+ years before then. And I am ok with that because it’s human to feel and let the feelings out.
As for Ren’s influence on you, I feel he has helped me to grow and become better too - and I think that’s why many of us are hooked on our drug (Ren).
“We must be better because the choice exists” as he said in Eden.
I think it's also inspiring considering his situation both physically and mentally and to see him be so positive. It shows we can all also be positive on our worst times. Or try to.
I appreciate you supporting me this entire time and it doesn't go unnoticed.
