I live in Rochester, yea there’s a lot of shootings but it’s actually quite nice especially in the city also you passed where my dad lives in that apartment complex near the round about on chestnut
With over 78 killing this year it’s definitely not nice like u say. I live in south wedge for a while n noticed the change over the years. It’s a dark black cloud over this city for sure let’s be honest
@@endlessjourneys6334 why stay under a dark cloud? This city has its issues like many many other places. I'll take rochester compared to DC, jersey, atl, and other hood plagued urban spots. This was once a great place to grow up and raise kids. Crime is the new trend everywhere.
At :20 you see Marks which is the only really dangerous part of Monroe. And that's just because it's the only place in the city that's open all night. Strange thing to say about a diner: "I remember when the bouncer started carrying a gun." I said it, though.
I was born in Rochester, but my family moved out to Williamson, NY when I was 6 years old and had never looked back, but when I do go to visit family like I did on thanksgiving, the city has mostly been gentrified. New apartment buildings, some high quality restaurants and bars were added, downtown has changed dramatically since the early 2000s when it was mostly empty. Aside from the main issue which is the rise in violence, the city structure itself has changed to cater to a certain demographic. Rochester's revitalization program seems to be working.
Lifelong Rochesterian here - as others have pointed out, Monroe Avenue isn't "Hood" but it's definitely really shitty. Not a lot of violence in that area but lots of crackheads asking for money, some of which are eager to show you their stab wounds or help you cop some rocks yourself (this would involve a finder's fee, of course). Here in Rochester my criteria for an area being hood is whether you can buy crack AND heroin there (Hood), or just crack (Not Hood)
I’m a 14 year old and I live in gates me and my cousin (also 14) also lives in gates decided to go on a walk to snoco at around 7:00pm we were walking in the bike lane and it was pretty dark but we ended up making it to the gas station but on the way back about half way we had to walk through a sketchy neighborhood in the dark and as we were walking some guy yelled “ hey fuck you” and then sucker punched me in the back of the head and then he ran me and my cousin ended up running home and we called the cops but he never actually found out what happened to him
This is NOT Rochester NY "hood"! You could of, SHOULD OF actually went to the many REAL hoods. But we're probably to scared you would be shot. Which is understandable. But enough with the click bait. If you say going to the hood then actually go INTO THE HOOD.
This isn’t even close to the hood in Rochester.🤣😂 honestly Not saying my city is great. But come on now. At least ask us for the spots if your gonna film.

I’m from Rochester and have lived in the south wedge area for over 5 years now. It’s not the same more violence more shooting n this is downtown area definitely hood anywhere u go
I loved living in the Wedge! I lived on the corner of Gregory & Bond, down the street from Cheesy Eddies, Slice of Life cafe, & a couple of great pizza places, way BEFORE it was cool! 1987-2000! then I moved here to Hawaii!!!
Keep showing the city,it's only but so big and Monroe Ave is hood, just ask the home owners in that area that have to protect themselves from the hookers, dope uses, hustlers and the many break ins that go on over there; What's holding that area up are the home owners but their vanishing fast and people are buying up those houses and turning them into rentals but that's going on every where in the city.Monroe is Majority white that's why they don't think it's hood but drive around in that area more and you will see the weirdest things go on,especially during the warmer months....I avoid that area cause the police over there like to police their own and don't like outsiders.

Yes this is the best image quality CharlieBo313 has ever produced BUT good luck on that, Charlie will never tell what camera he uses….I’ve asked several times over the last 5 years & he just avoids that question.
@@frank-xp6pj You might be right about that, but one thing CharlieBo313 has told me - indirectly - is that I have to be careful with detouring on my future US roadtrip.
@@frank-xp6pj definitely not a cell phone that is your first hint 😑🎥
Thanks for sharing, be safe out there and Happy Thanksgivings
Miss the ROC at times, had to take my ass back to the country. Borchard and Remington treated this country boy good.
U a Clinton boy 🦾💯😎 definitely the trenches!!
Hey Charlie I subscribed to your channel if u get a chance can u go to Columbus Ohio north Linden and drive around there I'll apreciated love n respect brotha stay bless and safe in those streets ❤💯
I just made it here last night and it's cold as hellllll lol....westside4lyfe🤙
That house with the Christmas lights was real nice
Gotta appreciate the Xmass lights.
You missed A lot . Chili ave , thurston , gardiner, mayors heights , Central Park ( 1st etc ) then you got the avenues a,b,c,d,e , Clinton section , Portland section , josana neighbor hood which is jay , child , Whitney area . Lyell and lake are also crime central . Edgerton park , which is Lexington , Dewey and glenwood area .
Lettered Aves and flower had the best green back in the day!
I'm surprised you didn't get stopped at that Valero. It could be 3AM and I got crack heads asking if I want some Boy or Girl? Which meant heroin and coke. I'll never buy gas from there again
Until you explained what the dealers meant by Boy or Girl, I thought they were renting out young teenagers for "sport": a certain kind of wickedness. 😡
it's actually heroin or fentanyl
One of my favorites channels!! 🌟
DAMN GOOD CAMERA. What you using?
you start the video On Monroe Avenue, that’s far from Hood !
that’s the nice part of the city
You should drive through N. Clinton Ave, Joseph Ave., Hudson Ave, Lyell Ave. Jefferson ave, Plymouth Ave. on a nice day And see what’s going on !
If you were just drive down these Avenues on a nice day and your view of the Rochester HOOD scene would be much different!!! Rochester has one of the highest murder rates in the country per capita
I am in the city often and these views don’t reveal what it’s really like
i love this channel and was scrolling and went “HEY IM FROM THERE!!” 😂 not from the hood but im from ROC
PS: im a privileged rochester resident who never lived in a super dangerous area and even i know Monroe aint no hood
Emerson/Dewey/Glenwood/Maryland/Locust area. And there are so many with lots of boarded up houses you should've hit
I lived on Maryland and Pierpont at one time in my life!
A big "Thank You" from Romania
I want to visit the US one day, but after watching all your vids I THINK ILL STAY IN SCOTLAND 😂
There’s a lot of places you can visit. Just do some research and know where your going.
What kind of dash cam is that? Great quality!
Bro if you are still here in Rochester make sure you grab a Garbage Plate at Nick Tahoe’s it’s a Rochester Staple
I go to school close to the 20 hour gas station it’s so ghetto we be hearing mad gun shots and police 💀
Try Avenue A, Avenue B, Avenue C, Avenue D, Avenue E Monroe not really hood
"Alphabet Soup"
A RUclips channel isn’t worth that, c’mon man!
ah, I see you hit the 20 Hours liquor store for some Funky Cold Medina ?
Didn't expect to ever see my town on here lol ppreciate it lol
I live in Rochester, Monroe is not bad at all, go to Jay street, conkey ave, Avenue D, Garson Ave, Frost street, Hudson Ave, parts of North Clinton...
Never mind the record breaking killings going on. Rochester isn’t even a shell of its former self.
Should’ve pop out to my hood and interviewed me 🤣
Must be America’s best looking hood.
Not the hood. Rochester is the murder capital of NY state. There’s worse parts than this.
Most of this video is not hood.
@@redcomic619 shorty u trippin it’s buffalo ny we had 65 murders last year idk if our rate is higher cuz we gained 10k in people in a year
@@Foreign780 Nah Rochester has 74 murders so far in 2021
I think he forgot to go to the hood, streets he went down are like going to the country club. If you think Monroe Ave is bad you don't know what bad is.
@@endlessjourneys6334 I said what I said
@@dysphoria9092 🗣So did I‼️
@@endlessjourneys6334 congratulations 👍
Yo I was born and raised in williamson.
Like college town? Big fail, all the makers are leaving town, being replaced by takers.
Nah it’s lyell Jefferson chili maple and jay broad st child at dewey Hudson
Yeah I noticed he did that in a couple of videos🤷🏾♂️
Lifelong westside suburb of Rochester here. Have a Genny and a Garbage plate with Zwiegles hots if you come by
This isn’t even close to the hood in Rochester.🤣😂 honestly Not saying my city is great. But come on now. At least ask us for the spots if your gonna film.
lmaoo downtown at the stop @4:31 is Fitzhugh street, the probation office is on it.. fun times..
I'll tell you what compliments a CBo video beautifully.
Beer.
In that respect, CBo reflects life very accurately for me.
I love beer
Monroe ave isnt hood. Just has yummy food and bars. Northeast rochester and the West side like mt read and child st are where you have to watch out.
I live in the ROC- (Ridgeway/Dewey ave). I love your videos brother ! \m/
This guy must not be from Rochester. Monroe Ave, east Ave, main street. Where's weyl, ave D, conkey, Wilkins, orchard street, Lyell. This video shows nothing.
It looks pretty dead in Rochester this city has a black cloud over it I couldn't dare live there...
The can of worms I hear they call it now - in the 60s this place was truly lovely. Was moving manufacturing to China really that great for the USA? @ 1:45, you gotta love the one with the Christmas lights on, in the spirit of the holiday season.
@@otakuConn selling junk from China to poor people with no jobs?
The Can of Worms refers to the wonky I-490/I-590/East Ave/University Ave intersection, not the city itself.
NAFTA(globalism) killed Rochester, like many other cities.
@@otakuConn well…..no shit.
We just had a carjacking here that involved an 18-year-old a 15-year-old freaking 14-year-old
I’m sure they was good boys and excuses must be made for them.
ROC we made it to the Charliebo3 list 😂😂👌🏿
Is Rochester NY near the Strong Memorial Hospital NY 14642 unsafe to live, to work? Thank you.
It's safe
I'm from Rochester the first 25 seconds is not not not the hood it's monroe.ave it's not a hood
Monroe Ave is hood ,a bunch dopefiends and drunks
CALLING THIS THE HOOD WHEN WE ARE THE MOST UNDERSERVED ... THEY DONT GAF BOUT THESE AREAS
Kind of sad to see my city up here
Beyond sad
I follow u and love watching ur videos. I always thought, he should check out where I’m from. Then I see this video.
Next time you're here, to up Plymouth Ave, Jay st, Brooks ave or Genesee st... You'll see
I live in the hood near thurston I love the neighborhood, ppl are very friendly.
You’re right on the cusp lol
Why you didn’t go down bay st
It's scary now.
This is what we consider the burbs in the roc tf is going on 😂😂
It ain’t Cottage St. that’s fo sho!
1987-2000! then I moved here to Hawaii!!!
wheeew just looking at the video i know it’s cold asl up dere😮💨
Snowed today in rochester i hate that shit
I've walked around at night without issue in all these places. Rochester has some dangerous areas, but none are shown in this video.
you didnt even go to the hood in rochester lol
dangerous place during daylight, the evening's gotta be 3 times as dangerous
You really should have gone by jones ave… I helped build a recovery center for addicts… it’s a real rough place
You got that right, after dark….yikes.
Hey! Mark's Texas Red Hots and Nick meat mart! My 20's are flooding back to me! Next thing you gonna show me is Vertex I bet...
LOLOL the "hood"
Keep showing the city,it's only but so big and Monroe Ave is hood, just ask the home owners in that area that have to protect themselves from the hookers, dope uses, hustlers and the many break ins that go on over there; What's holding that area up are the home owners but their vanishing fast and people are buying up those houses and turning them into rentals but that's going on every where in the city.Monroe is Majority white that's why they don't think it's hood but drive around in that area more and you will see the weirdest things go on,especially during the warmer months....I avoid that area cause the police over there like to police their own and don't like outsiders.
Monroe is not hood, there aren't any shootings
Almost how I remembered it growing up. Just missing the Slow Flo Sho
What hood the one building by Manhattan news is literally an old folks home lol You lost brother?
Happy early Thanksgiving Charlie bo.
