Wow this is actually very interesting. For starters it is animated with 3D models much like the Dragon Ball Fighterz game released a couple years ago. It also seems Gohan is going to be the main character of the movie rather than Goku like usual. It has always been about the story of Goku so I'm all for him typically getting the spotlight but it's nice to have it on other popular characters every now and then for a change. They hinted at him having some great power within in the Dragon Ball Super anime with how quickly he was about to redraw his strength and regain higher levels than before. I guess he's finally going to achieve this new form they've been hinting at in this movie.

Review on Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero
Just saw the movie in theaters. Gotta say the animation was superb. The story was well thought out and overall had a good pace to it. You can tell they spent a lot of time and money on it. It’s definitely a Piccolo and Gohan movie but I liked that it gave attention to the other side characters as well like Goten, Trunks, 18 and Krillen. It was definitely a team effort in defeating Cell Max. Beast Gohan would have beaten Cell Max eventually but I think this Gohan would have lingered and toyed with his prey the way SS2 Gohan did with the old Cell. Luckily, Piccolo can reel in Gohan and make him focus. He was guiding Gohan throughout the movie as he has done his whole life. Gohan does have a moral responsibility now that he’s one of the strongest in the universe. He can’t keep slacking for the sake of his job. He has more important things to worry about, like protecting the world, universe, etc… Because Piccolo is right in that he can’t always expect Vegeta and Goku to save the day. I think Gohan finally realizes his situation. He has a burden of having all this power, and I said burden because he can’t just go back to doing research/ his job full time which he loves without also training to maintain this Beast power. Hopefully, for the sake of Gohan’s development, he trains and stays on this course. He can still do his nerdy things, but like I said, he has moral responsibility to uphold now.
Anyways…
If I am being honest, this might be the best DBZ/ Super movie I ever saw. I’ve seen them all and they didn’t compare to Super Hero. Hope you guys watch it!

@@lenoxx_s1884 I mean it's dragon ball so of course I'm going to watch it and probably enjoy it, but cg can trigger my motion sickness. Same reason I got sick trying to watch spiderverse. That one was extra bad because of the frame rate though. I'm sure the movie itself will be fine, but I'm upset that I may not be able to enjoy it the same way as I could 2d.
Man.. in term of storyline its way better than dbs broly move (well for broly win by their animation).
I like how picolo and pan teamwork together to make gohan angry and want to fight.
@@wowwowwow7139 wow I never thought about the fact that this type of animation could trigger someone's motion sickness! Especially for Spiderverse! I hope people realize then that the people that have a problem with the animation don't only have a problem with it because of the art style but because it literally makes them physically ill. I learned something new today and will now think twice before I begin to judge and "roll my eyes" over someone upset over the animation choice of certain movies.
I hope you were still able to enjoy the movie regardless.

This movie SUCKS! CELL MAX? Cell dont speak and is his second form and he is the colour red. We get orange Picolo new form (not training) he wish to get stronger. And gohan gets a new form out of nowhere. Thats the movie for you guys. And ofcourse this cheap cell dies at the hand of gohan. INjoy the movie.

I’m honestly a little worried about the dubbing itself. Since it’s CGI, the lip movements might not be as easy to sync with the dialogue.
It's just a hunch but there is basically no scene in this trailer, where we can clearly see characters talk. Maybe actually adjusting some mouth movement is one of the reasons for the later release.
They never sync the lip movements; they don't edit the footage. They do generally make an effort to have the line be of similar length to the original lip movements, but that process wouldn't be any harder in 3D compared to 2D as far as I'm aware

It'll be fine. The syncing is never really 1 to 1 most movies and anime anyways

I already bought my tickets yesterday on July 22nd when I was at work when they went on sale! I'm going to take my mom because I got her into Dragon Ball and she absolutely loves Goku, she's seen every episode of DBZ, DBS and nearly all the movies. @@kingdavey90 i saw the movie last month when i went to go see my parents in japan, it looks ALOT better than what this crappy trailer makes it. *spoiler alert* The only part that kind of looked off is when piccolo first transforms into orange piccolo. They actually edited that scene in this trailer to keep him green at 0:40 - 0:43 which if you look closely they didn't really do a good job.

Saw this movie in 4DX, it was so *DAMN* intense that I felt like I couldn't move. The action was just so fast that I felt like I was there watching them fight. How I would kill to see it again

I love the fact that the Red Ribbon Army are making a comeback and they do look like they are more organized and more threatening than in the original Dragon Ball series.
Honestly, while it is cool that they're returning, the one thing that keeps popping up in my head is "How on Earth are they suppossed to be able to come up with anything that rival any of the Dragonball characters, especially wothout Dr. Gero?"

No that’s not it at all….. he was going to make Gohan the main character but didn’t think it would work out because of how loved Goku was and his main character trait to overcome any obstacle
@@jamesonedwardsii4943 He was literally told no by Bird Studio but okay. The reasoning you explained is correct but Akira didn't make that choice on his own. He was forced to write Goku back in. Same with cell and his forms. Akira was told to change it since the big design was unsettling
@@JoeMamasBestie Toriyama is on record saying bringing Goku back was his idea, after realizing Gohan was not as good if a choice for main character as he originally thought.
Seems also like he’s not afraid to compete with Marvel. This is like a Marvel movie.

oh wow a new movie coming to theaters 2 months from now, i really hope this dosent get leaked early on youtube for everyone to watch the whole movie and that toei is so nice to give a world release for people outside of japan.
Yesterday, I managed to nearly finished the whole movie until toei decided to block the sources. I stumbled on that on accident lol

This movie SUCKS! CELL MAX? Cell dont speak and is his second form and he is the colour red. We get orange Picolo new form (not training) he wish to get stronger. And gohan gets a new form out of nowhere. Thats the movie for you guys. And ofcourse this cheap cell dies at the hand of gohan. INjoy the movie.

You can watch it online. A few mad lads in Japan went to see the movie, recorded it with a video camera, translated the dialogue to English and made subtitles. Minimal interruptions and decent Cam Quality.
Movie itself was alright despite not being a big fan of CGI.
This film gave _Krillin_ moments to shine. That should tell you how respectful it is to its characters.
