Great video. I have had several folks saying that the TTL used in conjunction with HSS doesn't work correctly on mirrorless cameras. Would you be able to address that?? Thank you.
Hi. As always, a nice and instructive video, but all "top right" links are not showing up...Maybe you could add them to the text in the desciption? All the best
is there a way to just permanently turn off modeling light? i dont use it and find it annoying everything i turn on the radio (im using TTL) and modeling light turns on as well
thanks for this video, i just bought my second flashpoint 600 pro no TTL which is same as godox 600pro from Adorama, and the lcd screen falls off, quality control is so bad, you don't see an iphone screen fall off when you are unboxing it. but honestly this light is pretty good, if you want spent least money for a powerful light. if one day you got some extra money, go get a profoto.
I have just received this and my red flash light is on but the flash does not fore if I hit it. When I turn on the modeling light the bulb does come on. Any thoughts on what could be causing the flash not to fire even though the red light is on reporting that the light is ready?
Love the light. I can't say enough great things about. I have one issue I can't get my Flashgels Creative Color Gel Kit for Godox AD600Pro and Flashpoint Xplor 600Pro Strobes to attach to the light. I guess I'm doing something wrong. Could you please help?
Hey Robert. I happen to have an AD600 Pro TTL on my desk right here, and for fun I was looking at the t.1 values on a Sekonic L-858D to see what the measured Flash Duration was compared to what the display on the AD600 Pro indicated. For example (All in M mode): 1/1 Power AD600 - 1/220 Sekonic - 1/205 1/64 Power AD600 - 1/6530 Sekonic - 1/5770 1/128 Power AD600 - 1/8260 Sekonic - 1/6940 1/256 Power AD600 - 1/10100 Sekonic - 1/8710 On one of your videos I thought I heard you say you ran your own comparison test. Do my readings comport with your results? It would appear that the measured results consistently measure lower than what is reflected on the AD600Pro display. However, in real-world usage, are these variances significant?
Great video Robert! I have an E5 Error on my V1 flash with a continuous beeping sound and it says please contact the after sales service! I think I maybe messed up a firmware upgrade using G3, is there anyway to fix this or do I need to replace it from B&H? Thanks
Hey buds, Tomorrow I am shooting a massive number of headshots for a bank. I have multiple batteries for my AD300s which who’ll be supplying rom lighting, but I only have on battery for my 600, which will be my main light. I just tested out my setup based on the very specific specifications provided by the bank and it looks like I’ll be firing the 600 at 1/2 power the whole day. Is it possible to leave the battery charger wire plugged in while working so that I don’t run out of juice mid-session? Are there other alternative ideas folks have?
how does one change the power output value display from 1/1 to 10 or 1/256 to 2 if you know what I mean on these lights. the trigger will make the change using the step tab under menu but it doesn't translate to the light. so the trigger will show 10 on the display but the light will show 1/1. thanx
This is great -- Thanks! I have a little older model XPlor 600 (and love it, too) and the controls seem very similar except for one additional thing with the wireless button. When pressed 3 times, displays a big letter "C" with a lightning bolt above it. The WiFi antenna symbol remains there as well. What does that C-with lightning bolt mean? Does this newer model have that as well? (My XPlor user manual shows this "C-Bolt" icon BUT does not explain it at all). The WiFi indicator remains on, but my trigger -- and the light -- do nothing at all. To me, the C-Bolt indicator means "boat anchor mode."
Robert, Thank for all the reviews etc. You are a go too! Question is, have you ever had the AD600 Pro modeling lamp turn off on its own? The fan was on. Godox/Flashpoint is a really great addition to my kit. 35+ years in the biz and features and affordability of their equipment are fantastic.
@@villa_fan8882 The dealer just send it in Holland to service. That was 2 weeks ago. They have no information about my godox. I called the service, the product never arrived to them. So now I just hope I will get it back. That can take 4-6weeks. I will never buy Godox again
@@alexsimon443 What a nightmare, mate. I hope it all sorts itself out soon and you get a working flash back! I don't mean to rub it in but I purchased mine via Lencarta who are based in Yorkshire, England. They offer all the fixes in house and the feedback I have heard about their service is very good. I have a video suggestion for you. If you don't do it, I will. A trigger comparison with the Godox vs Yungnuo. In the field I realize the beam of my Godox trigger is super weak unlike the Yn beam.
All you, I'm not spending a cent on Yongnuo lol. I could care less about the AF beam when the difference in flash units is so massive. Just a personal view, as I haven't used AF-S to use an assist beam since like 2014.
i have an important photoshoot tomorrow and ill use these for the first time, great video!
I’ll save this to set up my 2 ad600pro’s. Thank you👋🏻
very thorough, found it very helpful to get started! Thank you!
major respect to you bor after using the 600 pro or a year I didnt know about some of the things you spoke about thanks for the heads up.

Hi, can you explain in detail about the units and alt of godex ad600 pro. What is the use of that mode
Hi,
The tilt control arm is not as loose as it appears in your video. Not sure why my Godox AD600 pro's tilt control is not working. Any clue?
6:58 why did light start blinking and beeping (when sound is turned on)?
Hi - you don’t seem to link the video you talk about at the end. I’m struggling to get my trigger to fire my AD600 flash.
Do you have a tutorial like this but for the AD200 Pro?
can you control kelvin on 600? my temperature is very blue or do you only adjust via camera
This was very helpful, you are quite knowledgeable
Thank you ❤️🙏🏽
Just got one of these. How do you charge the battery? I can't find anywhere to plug the charger into the battery.
hey rob is there any grids and gels that fit on the ad600 pro? I heard the 7in reflector doesn't fit on the pro version to fit grids and gels over
Did you find grids/gels for this model?
So grateful for this video! Keep up the good work!👏🏻
