Thanks DTM this is so timely, I just booked my Xmas trip today, which includes a few nights at red rock. Nice to hear it’s clean.
: ) GO Danny ! Thanks for taking one for the team ! EXPENSIVE food for sure :( ENJOY and ALL the BEST ! ! ! Cheers : )
The portion was small that’s why the server was trying to encourage you to order additional items. More food = More 💸💸 spent
The server gets a commission for higher bill. 😂
They typically mix in and cook the bean sprouts with the noodles so the noodles don’t clump as much together. The sprouts give the dish some airiness.
Danny's got short changed . Thanks for giving us the heads-up 😅.
Good place to skip on lol Thanks Danny !
That's was an amazing feast at the buffet. Surprised that you had the Happy hour before dinner. Thanks Tim.. you are the man 😂
That sure looks fancier than when I went to Lotus of Siam in the Commercial Plaza! (Hmmmn.) Thank you!
This was enjoyable to watch Danny. I like thin noodles. You can add beef strips, some stock and vegetables (like bean sprouts and carrots) and hey presto, you have a PHO Dish.
Aloha Danny. We went to the original location a few years ago and it didn’t live up to the hype. Mahalo for showing us what’s up!
Great video Danny! Agree with you on Artificial Intelligence. Mysterious and scary. Your story of your girl friend that ate so little at the buffet is so funny. And yes, your dish is not value based, but it did look good. Also Thank you for doing a really great job of evaluating the dish, knowing that you don't like certain vegetables. Your dish review gives us a better outlook of what they offer. Thanks again!
Being a former casino employee, I can tell you that yes, when you use your player club card they can seen all of your player history... but it has NO effect of the machines play.
I'm with you Danny, pad Thai shouldn't have mushy noodles. Portion size and price counts too.
Love a good buffet. Need to make about 4 trips up. Need a good soup, appetizers, rice and noodles. A good protein portion. Then a repeat of what you like . And leave room for coffee and dessert.
Oh yeah, you're absolutely right! She is absolutely thinking of you as a cheap SOB! Too funny!
Lotus of Siam in Red Rock = Higher $$ and less food.
They say Thia food is more filling because its not deep fried ? It looks like a kids happy meal portion ?
I'm with you about bean sprouts!
Love watching your videos
Wanted to add another comment: We love the Red Rock and also agree that it is so clean and nicely kept compared to some properties elsewhere in Vegas. We love the food court also. Red Rock is far away but always worth a visit.
I have heard of Red Rock casino. I'm glad it might be nice there.
Siam is solid imo. In my neck of the woods for this one! I like the koi soi with crispy duck
Last thing I bought at CVS were batteries. 40% off would have been nice.
Might try the Lotus of Siam at this location. There's always a wait at the Flamingo location. I've never tried their pad thai. My favorite Thai place in Vegas is Weera Thai on Sahara. The Spring Mountain location is good but not as good.
Danny The Medic, did you check out the 626 Asian night market this past weekend? 626 Night Market (RUclips will not allow me to link). It's at the Rio this year.
We just ate there & thought the food was decent but too expensive & portions were small. Ate at Nittaya's secret kitchen on Lake Mead over the weekend & was very happy.
The fish tacos at Rubios are great! Thought the food at Lotus of Siam was more expensive and a bit salty (did not order the Pad Thai). Hope you will give Rubios a try in the future!
Looked good but that is a tiny portion for the "dinner" portion.
High price and small servings makes that mark-up even larger vs something in Asian Town
That's some aggressive up sale skills.
Danny doesn't fall for up-selling.
Great intro. Keep up the good work. Showing us how to save a few bucks.
That Food Court at the Red Rock looked empty. Sign of the times. 😮
DTM, i would love to go to an AYCE with you, im not that *little girl* but at the same time im not a sumo wrestler either( once upon a time i was built like one though, lol) Thank you for all your videos! 😊❤🤗
I understand your comment about being a value eater.
We tried 3 different Thai restaurants in our town. Ech time I was disappointed. The last place we got food from we had ordered 3 entrees and 3 appetizer for the 3 of us. They did not even fill the rice container, it was scooped in loosely and still had empty space. It was 1/2 at the most. We where so hungry and it had cost us in the $70 range. So I stopped trying. The food was good each time. But I rather spend my money at the Japanese place if i want something different. It's still pricier than our standby, the Chinese restaurant. We get 2 or 3 entrees, a large soup and and appetizer for $40-$50. And we have leftover for another meal. The rice is packed to the rim. So we order different items and have our own buffeet here at home. And we are never left hungry.
Lamaii in Henderson is really good too
The Spring Mountain location is good too.
Have you tried ocha Thai on s Las Vegas blvd? It’s good and it’s where they filmed scenes for the movie casino.
I will look into it! dtm5
You can't find pad thai anywhere for $11 anymore, at least no place that I've seen. Fortunately, I'm going to Thailand next Feb, where you can get good pad thai (so I've heard, I'm not a big fan of it) for less than $2 US. Portions are smaller over there, but if you double it, it'll be about the same as Lotus' portion and only ~$3!! Really looking forward to my trip!
Bangkok Street Thai Street Kitchen off Fremont Street has a happy hour menu on Thai. I liked most of the food, and it was reasonably priced. On that particular menu, ask less sweet chicken larb.
CVS (and other drugstores) are way overpriced for just about everything. I had to buy some Pataday eye drops, and for the same price at Costco (I actually think it cost less!!), I got 3 of the same potency and volume per bottle!
Wonderful THAI FOOD...
The font on menu is so small so that you can't see how much the dish costs
not eating bean sprouts in the pad thai is like eating beef chow fun without bean sprouts. LOL Only on Danny's video. BTW To me no wok hay on the pad thai.
Danny did you move to Las Vegas, kool😊
Try other SE Asian buffets especially Filipino. For less than $20, you get lots of dishes to judge and tell us your opinion..
i accidentally spent $40 on a khao soi there. didnt realize duck was an extra $22
I bought a humidifier at CVS with the 40% off, but distilled water is too expensive, now, to use it.
use regular water?
@@dannythemedic I don’t think so it’s very hard water in Bisbee, Az.
Please, what's the name of that song at the beginning? I'd love to play it.
ruclips.net/video/fSLnffmDbME/видео.html
Try Lucki Thai Bistro in Rainbow 😊
Poor Danny got ripped off
I guess the best food/price values are off strip, non-casino eating places.
Yessir...no appetite at a buffet is a losing proposition.
if you havent tried it yet
pad tai at lemon grass aria is really good
The Original "Lotus of Siam Thai Restaurant" was Anthony Bourdain's favorite place to eat in Las Vegas, Nevada. Glad you have found it at the Red Rock Casino. A very expensive place! Menu font is so small, even trying to stop it to read; can't read it. Listening to your AI comment's, did you know your Cell Phone is listening and recording everything you do? Test it. Talk about being interested in buying or seeing something; the next thing you will see is being advertised on your cell phone or computer. Very small portion and skimpy on the chicken! Similar to eating at a French Restaurant; every dish is like an appetizer dish! Still hungry? Time to go back to the KB BBQ for the same cost and a lot more good food.
With pad Thai size definitely matters. I like 'em really big. The pad thai that is...right.
I don't know about 8.5 for mushy ovre-priced.
Rice noodles are always gooey
Thailand 🇹🇭 🇹🇭 🇹🇭 Food In Vegas 🇺🇸 USA 🇺🇸 😋 👌 Outstanding Video As Usual 😊😊
Looks small
Even "back in the day" when they were located off of Sahara the prices were pretty high. The food was good and I'm sure the quality of the ingredients were good but $20 for phad thai ? Nope. That a little like asking$8.50 for a normal taco @ Taco Bell !!
Over cooked & over sauced . What ever they found in the bottom the frig .
DTM dominating Thai food.
Just get the biggest package of toilet paper at CVS. You'll use it.
I've been to Thailand many times and the food there is so much better than this and 10 times cheaper. Danny should take all his RUclips money and fly to Bangkok.
I use massaman as a Thai restaurant meter.
I would have gone to Panda Express.
40% off is a rare offer from CVS. Too bad you didn't find anything you need or want. I would have bought something! I went to the original Lotus of Siam location ( I think it had a fire and burned down). We loved the food especially the crispy prawns-yes, I ate the fried shell...they were like potato chips. I would give it a 9.5. Yes, that pad Thai was kind of small but it was a pretty deep bowl. Who knows these things?!?
I always get coupons for 40% off CVS in my email!
@@sbloome77 lucky! I usually get 20% thru email. Maybe once I got a 40% thru email. Lol
i don’t think they are the same as the other Lotus of Siam…at least anymore
Child's portion... Don't go back. I don't care how good it is.
TOO SPICY
Danny, you made a couple of mistakes here. First mistake was not dining at the real Lotus of Siam on Flamingo. Second mistake was ordering pad thai. You don't order that dish at a Northern Thai restaurant. Lotus is famous for their Khao Soi. If you had ordered that at the Flamingo location, you would not have been disappointed. Even a curry dish would have been much better. At these nicer Thai restaurants you need to give up on ordering pad thai. Go for the panang curry or Khao soi or even yellow curry. That's how you judge nicer places like Lotus of Siam and Lemongrass.
I had Pad Thai at Lemongrass. It was delicious. Everything was!
DTM overpaid... Bean sprouts, guys, bean sprouts... That serving was tiny... In Thailand, that would be 60-100 baht max... ($2-3)... Time to go to Panda Express... btw: DTM should try Pad See Ew (Thai Chow Fun...)... but someplace else... That Pad Thai didn't look so good...
I would rather get a bowl pho for $15
DTM, concerning your 40% off problem , get toilet tissue , it last a long time in storage and is a need item. Also if you want good food at bargain price then Panda Express
Panda Express👍
Good is not good
DTM I wouldn't be paying that price there places cheaper and it way better 😮
I was ther about 10 days ago. Tried the $50 set menu. Tom Yum soup was too salty. Pad Thai was bad. Pineapple cake was bad. Salad no comment. First time and also the last time.
Looks like diet day after Korean BBQ. Pad Thai noods were over cooked. Le Thai downtown is better.
👍
No thanks, I'd rather go to panda express
Looks pretty dinky.
And dry someone said.
for the amount it was a rip off. Been to a different "lotus of siam" location in Vegas. not going back!
Not the real Lotus of said the one at the red rock is owned by the daughter of the original owner there even a lawsuit using the name and recipe
no wayyyy
Tiniest portion 👎
Looks too dry, needs sauce
First 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This dish "sucked balls".
Overprice very small portions and the food is disgusting a snack good restaurant you’re not even know what they giving to you nasty food over price of a place😮
You definitely got ripped off. These days, when everything is so expensive, thanks to Biden/Harrisomics, pasta is still reasonable.
Lotus of Siam is OVERRATED
One of the best thai restaurants I have tried
You obviously haven’t tried many then.
