- hi guys! so about a month ago, i decided to submit a genetic test via 23 & me (not a paid advertisement). i was actually blown away by what i thought my test was going to be to what it actually read. so funny. I also can't believe it tells you things like the length of your fingers and eye color, etc. so wild!
have you guys done any of the types of DNA/ancestry testing?! i should get Maddie to do one to see how close we really are! lol.

I'm from Germany 🇩🇪 and I find it really funny and interesting that when you test your origin, Germany comes out because your last name "Ziegler" is a German last name that used to be commonly used for families who worked in the brick distillery (which is German for “Ziegelbrennerei”) worked…. these people were then called “Ziegler”.
Ziegel = brick
Brennerei = distillery
Your ancestors were most likely brick manufacturers in Germany 😃
Which makes sense because Pennsylvania has a large Pennsylvania Dutch (German) population.

@@mayo3778 I am pretty sure those who speak Pennsylvania Dutch are Amish. Pennsylvania has a large population though other places like Southern Ontario, Canada, New York and Florida have a lot smaller population
My test was also a percentage of German. My original last name was “Ogden” before I got adopted. I wonder if that was a common German last name? 🤔
I have always wanted to do one of these genetic background tests but have always been so afraid to! I was adopted and have never met a blood relative or known anything about my biological family. Thank you for showing this. I think I am finally ready to do one of those and see what it says about me. You're awesome, Kenzie! Never stop being you!!

Waittt do a circleDNA test! They even get it down to diseases, most suitable diet (Mediterranean, etc), most suitable hours of sleep, and all that.
Another great video and the camera quickly is just chefs kiss. I wanna try this but Christmas got me broke right now 😭 but definitely will try it one day. All I know is that on my mom side I’m Native American, African American, Italian, dad side I’m African American, Indian, and Egyptian, I would love to get a more in-depth of what I really am and my family tree/ancestors.

@@KindCountsDeb3773similar but not the same, my sibling and i with the same parents had different percentages of things. i even had small percentages of things that they didn’t have at all.
@@KindCountsDeb3773not necessarily. Siblings can be surprisingly different when they’re not identical twins. It’s a random 50,50 from each parent so one could be - for example 20% German and the other could be 45%.

You will get a slightly different traits and genetics even with the same parents as 1 child may inherit more from 1 parent, than the other. @kenzie.ziegler

I thought you had a strong Italian lineage. The Euro findings are so interesting and include Italian. Your parents DNA would help. I just looked at my husband's new relatives & u popped up on there as a 3rd - 6th cousin & we have a daughter that looks alot like u and Maddy. It's weird bc I used ro tell her when she was young she looked like u guys, lol. Oh, & she dances. His name shows up as Michael Kropp. He has a weird family history so it would be interesting to find out how u r related.
