How to use QFIL to flash Qualcomm (QLM) firmware

This video explains how to use Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) to flash a Qualcomm Android device. QFIL is a very handy tool for flashing stock rom / firmware to a Qualcomm Android phone. Ensure to install Qualcomm drivers as instructed at forum.hovatek.com/thread-1696...
The tool can flash a firmware in Flat or Meta build. For Flat build, the firmware needs to contain:
.xml files (programmer file etc), .img files (recovery, boot, system etc ), .mbn files (tz, rpm, prog_emmc_firehose etc), .bin files (gpt, NON-HLOS etc)
If you encounter SAHARA FAIL ERROR then ensure to use a programmer that's compatible with your device

In this video tutorial, I'll be explaining how to flash a Qualcomm Android device using Qualcomm

Flash Image Loader or QFIL. In order to use QFIL, you need to have installed QPST.

You also need to have installed your Qualcomm USB drivers. We have a guide on how to do that

firmware which you intend to flash usually

in this format. Now, once you have all these in place, the next

thing you'll want to do is to launch QFIL so I'll do that by searching for

QFIL. If you have a desktop
shortcut you could also launch the

shortcut and wait for the QFIL
dashboard to come up. Alright! Great! So I

available so I need to connect the device

in EDL Mode. Now, for this particular
device, to boot into EDL, I power off

the device still with battery inside, hold both volume buttons then

connect it to the PC via the USB cord. Alright! So that changes No Port Available to

Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader. Now, the next thing you'll want to do is to

load the firmware which you intend to flash. The firmware I have here is a Flat Build

so under the Select Build Type, I select Flat Build then I click on Browse. Now, in

this Window that opens, what you'll want to do is to navigate to the location where you have the

firmware folder and then you open that
and select the loader file. its usually in

this format and then click on Open. The
next thing you'll want to do is to click on Load XML.

Still in the firmware folder, you select the raw program file and then click on Open and

then another Window will automatically open. You select the patch() file and then click on

Open. Alright! So everything we need to do is in place so the next thing you'll want to

interrupt this process okay? Just sit back

Hello, if the phone is "dead", no boot, no display output but when I connect it to PC (windows) is listed in Manage with "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" (it's a LG D320N / L70) I burned the wrong bootloader in it....it's any chance to bring him to life ?

After flashing the firmware can we restore the userdata.img back to the phone to get access to previous data(photos, videos etc.) on phone ?

@@HovatekTV i actually extracted it while watching another video but the problem i am having now is at the emmc tab of qpst where i have to browse and add primaryGPT_0 when i do that it says there is no GPT. Also in the video it showed there was only on GPT file in the extracted folder but when i extracted on my end i had 7 GPT files at the end starting from primaryGPT_0 to _6, i don't know why that happened :P

Hey sir can you help me i follow all you step for flashing using SP tool and qfil but its all the same still error, idont know if my firehost is wrong i downloaded several stock firmware across the google even in xda and in your forum my device is realme 5 (rmx 1911), if you find a legit firmware it will be a great help! I always get an error in miracle box, qfil and sp flash tool. In qfil i ilways get error download (faill sahara fail firehose fail). BTW my device is in hard brick cant access fastboot neither recovery only edl mode.

You need to boot the device into EDL mode then connect to PC via USB. Its mentioned in the video

When the program is downloading the "userdata.img" appers this message then it stops: "Download Fail:FireHose Fail FireHose Fail: attempt to divide by zero"

That's OTA format. You can extract the payload.bin

@@HovatekTV I have the same problem and im using Infinix hot 6x. i booted into EDL by holding volume buttons and plugging into computer via USB but the new error is Download Fail:Firehose Fail:FHLoader Fail:The system cannot find the fine specified
EDIT: Fixed both problems by using QFIL in QPST and also pressing Download button as soon as device is in EDL mode
