I think that when its finished they should add a statue of Merrik in front of the main dock. He fought to save Golden Sands and now that he’s dead it would be a cool detail and bit of history
I'd like the Reaper's hideout to become a fortress in the future, perhaps with Flameheart in a throne but I understand that would be a lot to ask for, especially with it's underbelly. The port town of Golden Sands is something I'll be exploring in depth for myself next time I'm there. I love that the tavern has a painting of Merrick because he really deserves it as an NPC.
that would actually be awesome, the reapers are the biggest ennemies of everyone else and all they have is a little island with a tent, they should atleast have a fort imo
I remember going to golden sands to sell on day after the attack without knowing what happened and being so took by surprised when I saw it all destroyed and desolated.
Port Merrick is incredible and I love the concept of an evolutive outpost that fellow the players propserity. But sometimes I fell nostalgic about the Original Golden sands outpost.
This video is perfect for new pirates that want to learn about the history of the first pirate port in sea of thieves, we need more videos likes that for adventures and sea of thieves history in general. Amazing work even though I know what happened I enjoyed it a lot.
If they ever do this again with another outpost, I think they should go for one of the outposts in the wilds. They're both fairly close to each other separated by a single island and the decision wouldn't be swayed by convenience for dropping off loot. Plus I mean. Come on. Reaper Fort sounds badass.
As of today I went to new golden sands port and I was shocked it was my immediate favourite cause the way it looked and the way the npcs there looked happy with there new rebuilt homes along with some new friends like Cecil from dagger tooth outpost.
Lost Sands was such an incredible adventure, and seeing it's outcome start to fruition is beautiful. I'll be using my 'Victor of Golden Sands' title with pride from now on. Thank you for making this wonderful recap video and chronicling these events. I'm very excited to see the results of 'Return of the Damned' take place in the world, and another recap video for that too!
I spent about 5 hours at the port just fishing and role playing, if you catch the right server you may find me in the new tavern having a grog. So if you are ever close to golden sands stop by and drop by the tavern I would love to swap stories and play some music.
I mich prefer this pirate port rather than the idea of the reaper fort. A reaper fort does sound cool just try it somewhere else, like plunder or dagger tooth
I jus started playing 2 weeks ago so I didn't know any difference tbh but it was my favorite outpost from the jump now ik the history behind it I love it even more

I loved Golden Sands Outpost, used to be the best outpost hands down Port Merrick is cool looking and all but dropping from 144 to 60-80 frames when on the island really discourages me from visiting this island. I wish they kept the old GS outpost and built a port town somewhere else
@@inkdevil23 I know what you mean man and ofc, its not the end of the world however let me tell you, the difference between 144ish frames and 80 on a 144Hz monitor is very noticable (and in pvp, game changing)
Oke they’ve moved a lot of the shops to a more central location. This makes a lot of room for new content on this island. Why not oh idk a Hunters Call representative.
Real-time events where Flamehearts crew of ghosts and skeletons are attacking an outpost, and you have to defend the outpost from their onslaught, preserving the pirate life from those who wish to destroy it. Alternatively, if you wave the Flag of the Reaper, you can join the onslaught and send a message to the peace loving false pirates that you will show them the real pirate life. (Regardless of who you choose, the outpost will return to normal some time after the event.)
I have complained about click bait in some of your videos but now I am doing almost the opposite this title imo needs to be more attractive for non sea of thieves players. This video is great advertisment for the game imo.

60 80 frames is not the end of the world man if you ask me, you can't really see any more frames past 90 or 100.
