Avebury is usually very busy, luckily I was the only one braving the -4 temperature on Saturday morning, weather was grey and overcast, two days before it was a glorious sunrise and a low mist, would have looked great but this time of year not a lot of early morning sunlight before the tourists arrive and I have to be in the office. Don't take off or land on NT ground. I normally lift off from the main road and only fly my 249g drone but be careful it can be busy😄. Good luck when you get out their.
While the vast majority of the surface area of the stones appears rough hewn or natural fractured, there are sections along the edges that clearly display cut channels. This evidence (and other bits) has led me to believe these stones were subject to non-flowing glacial cover.
Beautifully captured and flown. Wonderful place 👌
I can feel the energy from the images, I can't imagine being there. Blessings, always
So many wonderful ancient places in the area. It is a wonderful place to live.
wow 😊
Thanks ☺.
Great footage; and wow, no one around 😳 there’s been lots of people when I was there in the summer, and with it being NT land, was a bit hesitant 🤨

If you are interested their are several very good books on the stones.
