@@Viggoman I've actually been building one in a far less amazing terrain on Xbox One. The geography in the trees also reminds me a lot of The Rift in Skyrim. Can't wait to see what you make of this place.

I honestly cannot believe how incredibly good this is, and original. And the download is FREE!? I already have 3 modded survival playthrough ideas for this map, it’s so awesome. Great work, I started using World Paint today and you’re really inspiring me.
Note: modded ores trees plants structures dont spawn on world painter maps samewith peacefull mobs and some hostile mobs
mods also have problems with WP (world painter) maps where the game lags/FPS drops/game crashes/ game files getting corrupted (not just the world sometimes mod files and minecraft files)
so i really dont recommend using content mods on WP maps

It really should be possible to just generate worlds like this without mods...
Well it's not too difficult, you're just i bit more limited in terms of block variation, but other than that you could definitely make something very similar to this without mods. Worldpainter is just a program.

A lot of terrain generation is defined by noise maps. This is entirely possible to do algorithmically, however you would have to define the generation of land with noise maps, or any other procedural generation method, so given random data generator you have to manipulate it in such a way, it will give you lakes, canyons, volcanoes, etc. and all of that has to be implemented in such a way it's seamless.

thx but, why do you actually paint everything individually? there is a "mesa" paint (at Terrain) that you can spread randomly over your landscape with "Global Operations" @@Viggoman

I would love to see the mountains off in the distance without screwing up my framerate too much.
When i paint a map, will the rest of the world be just a blank (void) or is the rest going to be generated randomly? If it's a void can i make it generate randomly because i only need a part of my world flat/smoothed out.

Hello, I also use this, but when I print it out and throw the registration file into the game, it is not beautiful around it, the map is incompatible with other regions. Is there a solution for this?
I don’t know what you mean, but I assume the world file got corrupted somehow. Are you using the correct game version?

I know how to do basic terraforming stuff, but what about 1:06? Not sure how that works

Viggoman Plays The thing is, if i download te world, and i load it, the world is really bugged. Sapplings are in the air, there is no sand in the world, etc. I dont know why, so i though i create a world myself.. but in the vid, u used custom terrain.. (in worldpainter). Can i find that anywhere on the internet or did u made it yourself?

Do you need a good computer for this
Well, it depends on what you mean by a good computer. If you dont need shaders and turn down the render distance, you can do this on a decent gaming pc, but not a cheap school laptop. But for the quality I have you need a pretty good pc
