NAZARE SURF EXPLAINED in TWO MINUTES Part 03 "THE TEAMS"

Nazaré is surfed in teams and in this third chapter of the serie "Nazaré Explained" I get into detail of how the teams are composed and which is the roll of each member of the team. It's interesting to understand how teams operate in order to have a better understanding when you're on the cliff watching the world's biggest waves break.
As I explain to you in the video, each role is crucial when it comes to surfing Nazaré, and each member in the water must possess the skills to fulfill all the necessary roles. Although generally, each member has a specialty that makes them unique.
For example, Lucas Chumbo is a great surfer dedicated to breaking records, and that's his specialty, even though he's also a skilled pilot and rescuer.
Alemao de Maresias is the most recognized pilot at Praia do Norte for carrying out the riskiest rescues and positioning the surfers on the biggest waves.
The interesting aspect of understanding this is that once you're on the cliff, you can identify part of the team doing their job. So now you know, if one day you find yourself on the cliff watching the waves and hear a handheld radio, it means the Spotter is helping the surfers near you.
