Nice little review here mark. A good solid day bag, you can fit all you need in here. I like the idea of two straps too. £13 is a bargain mate. Thanks for sharing. Rob

Really nice sack Mark. I think it lends itself well to a day sack what with all the compartments. Hey you could always wax it to. Next project maybe. Good going. Mark

Thanks Mark. Yeah, I think it’s really good. Seems like exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been looking around for something like this for ages, and getting nowhere, and then out of the blue some guy in my feed on Instagram says “look, here’s this pack I’ve bought” and it’s exactly what I’ve been after! 😄. I don’t believe in anything much but sometimes you do seem to magically get the answer to what you’re looking for. Take care mate. ATB, Mark 👍

Thanks Dan! I think you’re right. Mil surplus stuff is good price and well made. It’s not always gonna be the lightest weight-wise but totally solid and reliable.
Thanks for watching and giving me your thoughts. Appreciate it! 👍

Thanks John. Yeah, I really like it. I’d been looking for a while and then out of the blue someone on Instagram said “ Look at this gas mask bag thing I just bought” and I’m like 👀 - that’s the one! 😄
Hope all is well with you mate and things are calming done a bit it NY?

    Interesting review...thank you!
Internal pockets in orginal use, based on my former experience in the miltary, I would guess spare filters for the respirator, injector pen and some form of 'nap' tablets ( used to counter the effects of NBC contamination)

Oh right! That’s interesting. Would be nice to see it loaded up as was originally intended. It’s certainly useful having all those pockets when you go out for a hike! 😊
      Thanks for that! 👍

Also contained cleaning cloths in a plastic bag, and instructions on proper use of the mask (in Finnish, of course)
I know because mine still had the above in one pocket lol

It's a fairly good looking thing too🤠👍. Silicone sprays or Barbour/ Frank Thomas waterproofing wax would waterproof it, if that's your thing. Pouches for spare respirator canisters, drinking straw, decontamination gear / anti-fog stuff etc- this stuff is essential for sustained NBC warfare conditions- hence the internal flap.... so your stuff doesn't fall out & you die because you lost your 'stay alive gear'😯💀💀💀. Thinking about UK/USA pouches...I'll go out on the limb of potential ridicule and say your 'shoulder strap' is really a waist strap and your 'waist strap' is a leg strap so it doesn't disappear round your back when your're running/ walking/ fighting & stuff. 🤔.
As a fellah that grew up 'poor as church mice' in Scotland, I'm always looking at ways to maximise the potential of 'cheaper' alternatives. I'm doing pretty well for myself now but I'm not about to stomach. $110 AUD for a 'Jetboil' or a staggering $500 AUD for a certain pre-shaped mountaineering tarp (yes, tarp......tarp Only......). A lot of folk watching this genre will be put off by seeing the gamut of flash & expensive gear some 'Tubers use. Cheers for keeping it real...and affordable 🤠😎👏👏👏❗️

Thanks Billy. That’s interesting, makes sense about the flap now. Of course you know about the real uses from your time in the military. You’re right about the price of some of the ‘outdoors’ stuff. I’m sure the quality of the really expensive stuff is top notch but not convinced you need it. A lot of the fun of playing in the woods is having to use your own skills to rise to the challenges that come up. Man! That’s an expensive tarp! 😳 - I’d be worried to use it in case it got damaged - which kinda defeats the object! 😄. You prob follow Jim Bob Outdoors. He’s good at finding cheap and very usable alternatives to the ‘posh’ stuff.
Thanks for the great comment mate! ATB, Mark 👍

Looks quality mate, I like the design with the two straps to keep it stable, can get quite a lot in it too, for 13 quid all in too you can't complain at all, seems a bargain 👍
