@Yhoothoob Sure. We love the luxury, performance, descent range, fast acceleration, excellent storage, tons of goodies like hud, 360 camera, etc. We went from a 2020 to a 22. We wanted the updates like the entertainment center, etc. It was a good upgrade, and the 22 updated model has fewer headaches. We absolutely love the car. Drives amazingly well - Close to my c7 corvette. We are just sad that jlr is stopping production in 25.
I’ve been in one recently and it’s superb inside and great looking, you can pick up a used ev for under 30k if u want the risk, battery has an 8 year warranty👍🥳
@@julietmcguire shame as Jaguar “was” a great brand, that really seems to be in the shadow of Land Rover, and lost its way somewhat. That’s coming from someone who has had 3 XJs and an XF
@Andy-qh9su in the end they couldn't really compete with the Germans thanks to the unreliability stigma ...I hope there full luxury endeavour is the right direction. Shame it will now be out of price range.
The Jag -IPace was one of the best cars I've ever owned (3 years) - it's a shame it was let down by the very poor service framework around it (UK). Having owned several EVs, Jag was the only car to nail the sublime pull away very similar to a top end petrol/diesel car as opposed to the normal "jerky" go kart experience you get with other EVs.
Cool review. Much better than all the other car journos in SA. I drive past a Jaguar Land Rover showroom regularly, and I have not seen a Jaguar on the floor in quite some time. I believe Jaguar is closing or recalling dealer contracts worldwide, which would be concerning for a potential new Jaguar buyer. It seems like Jaguar was too late or has been left behind in the electric crossover/suv race and I think they have ditched sedans altogether. Not a great place for them to be in and I wonder if Tata (or whoever owns the business) will continue producing Jaguars.
Yeah, the issue with this i-Pace was the price. I still love it though, and my poor rand earning self just saw one on cars . coza... the cheapest one is still R650k (faints)! But for R650k, I will actually pull the trigger on this vs some of the other newer EV's. There's just something, like you said, about saying "oh the Jag is mine". (Loved this review, nearly died when you told us what's burning x)
Sadly the car is plagued with never ending battery malfunctions that will keep it in the shop for months on end. Yes it is a beautiful car I had one till I traded in for an F Pace because I simply was exhausted with the constant break downs and tows into the shop.
@julietmcguire okay, cool, I've watched the entire video 😅... I still think R2.5m is still a lot for such a small car, regardless of the badge 😀. The new Volvo EX30 for me makes a lot of sense if I were to pick an EV... I think manufacturers should be making more of hybrid cars instead, whether plugged-in or self charging ,they will be successful in the South African market.
I think they were lazy to just chuck the spare wheel under the boot😆, typical JAGUAR. I guess one would have to live with it and compromise 😆, I too love my boot space, I want to put my stuff in, and so when there's a spare wheel in the way - I too would be frustrated and cringe as well 😆.
Can South Africans stop pretending to care about Jaguar? 1.8 million when it launched...with a spare wheel in the boot pretending it's a F Type Cabriolet. Now priced at 2.4 million, that's insane. This is South Africa ,we don't care about EVs. They are expensive and unattainable to most.
Isn’t that the point of RUclips? Amateur presenters, real life reviews. Too lazy to do your own research when making a vehicle purchase, yet arrogant enough to dump on this reviewer just to make yourself feel better about your own shortcomings. By the way, I bet you’re fun at parties.
It’s a horrible car. I’ve just had it as a courtesy car from Jaguar Land Rover. The breaking you feel the weight of the car getting in and out is a nightmare because you keep banging your head especially when you prefer the higher seat position and all the computer screens in front of you take your eyes off the road it’s ridiculous, I would never ever buy one and I’ll never ever drive one again .
On my 2nd Ipace and had a few minor issues over the years but our cars have been solid. Our service center is also amazing. Love, love the car.
Can I ask what made you move to the second one?

It looks stunning on the road!
Not so much.
I simply love your commentary....smiling all the way listening
The I-Pace is a superb car, just a shame Jaguar didn’t update the electrical system as the years went by.
This car could have been so much better over the years. They had an amazing start but not so good finish.
Don't have a spare in the UK version
Had mine 4 years nearly. Best car ever.
What is ev range?
@@imranmalik-tg7sg 200 miles
@@nicholasbrandon8699 your’s 400? Or 320
the full size spare is an option in the UK. maybe it's mandatory in South Africa?
To be fair, the spare tire is a Jaguar option and not many I-pace models were outfitted with it…for obvious reasons.

I bought mine used, having driven a Polestar2 and Model 3
The interior and exterior looks and comfort sold the car to me.
Great review. I didn’t even realise that model was still on sale !
I think you and many others ha ha

Dankie tog, I, too, dont have 2.5 mil, so i won't have to make that decision either.

no spare wheel in mine 🤣
This car isn’t practical for longer distance drivers especially with that spare 😭

These are going for under 20k now… might be worth the gamble
woooooooow 😍🔥, this car - it's like it drew blood from a Tesla from the side sort of 😅, but it's beautiful, and pretty neat.
So beautiful!
This one is my fav.
Julz, love the Beenie - you should do more reviews in "headwear" ;-) Sloopy cars are the best 🙂
Love this car
But I hear jag is pulling the plug on this model 😢
I have also heard that
they're pulling the plug on all their models though, right? aren't they starting from scratch next year?
New Models coming from next year.
Expect shocking depreciation on this "Jag EV"! One would be better off financially (when trading in later) if one opted for a F-Pace V8 rather...

What's wrong with the I-pace? The price 😉

No space under the boot with the battery
@rnburley Understandably so 😅
Didn't the 1st gen Toyota 86 also have a spare wheel that took up most of the boot?
Why are you wearing a Jacket and Barni. Is the climate not working?

The second hand I pace is selling at R800k with a mere 15000km . Leave the 2m one. Duh and the expensive part is not something happening at JLR
Amateur show. Like you know. Thank goodness I don't have to rely on this presenters input to help me choose my next car. By the way.
