- Walking through the Historic Center of Porto Alegre: a virtual tour of emblematic points
Join me on a virtual walk through the Historic Center of Porto Alegre, visiting points that narrate the rich history of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul. The journey begins at Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana, on Rua dos Andradas, an old hotel that now houses a library, bookstores and cafes, in an environment that celebrates culture and letters.
We continue to Praça da Alfândega, flanked by historic buildings such as the Rio Grande do Sul Art Museum (MARGS) and the Rio Grande do Sul Historical Archive. MARGS, with its modernist architecture, holds a collection of more than 10 thousand works of art, while the Historical Archive preserves documents dating back to the colonial period, telling the saga of the Gaucho people.
At Esquina Democrática, the stage for important political and social debates, history pulses around every corner. Avenida Borges de Medeiros, with its imposing buildings and vibrant commerce, takes us to the Otávio Rocha Viaduct, one of the largest stone viaducts in the world, a symbol of the city's engineering and strength.
Along the route, enjoy aerial images that reveal the beauty and grandeur of the Historic Center, with its red roofs, the green of the parks and the grandeur of Guaíba in the background.

Se estiver falando sobre as enchentes, no momento está tudo normal, mas pode chover muito nas épocas de chuva e alagamentos piores ou iguais acontecer de novo, Porto Alegre está localizada em um local geograficamente falando, extremamente problemático e com as mudanças climáticas, só piora.
