Who cares, I have no idea where Gert-by-Sea is anyway, it's certainly not my home. Someone told me it's a suburb up on the Gold Coast?
😂 More mick and tony clips please!
These street interviews were the best. Wish they did more. The old bloke going on about how we can't change the song, its been going for 150 years. He's my fave.
"Australians all let us rejoice...for we wear tight Lee jeans"
That line always cracks me up.
I was pmsl in "Kenny" when he said he always thought it was "Australians all let us ring Joyce" one of the best lines in the movie.
'You're a thinker, aren't you.'
For some reason that line has stuck with me for decades... and the fact that guy clearly just had what he thought was a hilarious idea for a flag and was desperate to work it into a conversation about the national anthem.
I recall making a flag in one of the COD games to honour this..."a bum with a fist coming out of it" one of the most glorious ideas ever, I salute you sir wherever you may be!
"Waltzing Matilda" - mates just keeping it real ✊🏽
Sure is all about stealing 😂🤣
Something about girt, soil, toil...
The old man that Mick and Tony encountered had some strong opinions about why Advance Australia Fair should remain the National Anthem. For years I wanted to find out the history of the song. According to information from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Advance Australia Fair was written in 1878. The bloke in the De La Soul T Shirt was polite to listen to this man as he shared his views about why the National Anthem was important.
And people complain about charity muggers 😊😅😂
This looks like it was filmed not long after implementation, so it looks they were comically making a case for the song's obscurity.
It was either 92 or 93.
These new so called “comedy” shows could learn a thing or two from The Late Show
