Digital Extremes has announced we're getting a Tenet Glaxion and Kuva Sobek plus an augment for each in the upcoming New Season of Nightwave.
Today we dive deeper into how a build should look for the Tenet Glaxion and how our progenitor and riven choice can affect the build.

One thing to note. Considering what DE usually does, bear in mind that these two weapons could be treated as "New" weapons, which means dipso 1. Something to considering before buying a riven mod.

I'm one of the few Tenno who's actually excited for the Tenet Glaxion. Here's hoping on top of decent stat buffs, it has some sort of added functionality.
DE did mention that Sobek and Glaxion would be getting new augments alongside the kuva/tenet variants

@@addmen96 the hek has a really strong augment as well but they made it specifically so the kuva hekk can't use it so there is precedent for it not working

If u go for magnetic you can have, cold+mag+corro+rad on the wep and viral+fire on the primer sec or Diriga
You could also go for impact, then you can get cold+corrosive+rad+impact+slash on the weapon, and viral from your pet.
Definitely looking at either radiation or magnetic progenitor for Tenet Glaxion. Its fire rate is too high for impact to be any good with Internal Bleeding, and the single elements make modding to keep the cold damage a chore.

Thermagnetic shells works for the tenet detron so it should work.
What not going for Impact progenitor, so you can have Slash procs when it crits?
Technically, corrosive is getting a small buff as well with the enemy armor changes. But maybe it won't be noticeable at base steel path levels. We'll have to wait and see I guess. I'm still very excited for the cold and blast buffs!
Magnetic progenitor would be good. You can use radiated reload, too.

Rivens for these have shot up for both bought a glaxion riven for 120 and bought a sobek riven for and arm and a leg

Wait i might sound dumb but if they are buffing cold , then won't it indirectly buff viral?
How would buffing cold status effect make any difference for viral? If anything, I can only see it as a nerf for viral since you can't have both cold and viral on the same weapon; if cold is stronger you'll be less inclined to turn it into viral.

Cold and corrosive seems pretty OP. freeze them, strip them of armor in one shot :)

I just hope they don't ruin glaxion by turning it from a beam weapon into a projectile weapon like they did with tenet flux rifle. I prefer a beam weapon to a generic bullet hose and I hope tenet glaxion has an alternative fire mode perhaps something along the lines of a mortar shot so the beam can pick enemies off at a range and the mortar can fell mid to close range targets. It would be ideal if the alt fire dropped a ring effect that deals continuous damage of cold or whatever modded elements instead of self damage/self stagger AoE imo. If they turn glaxion into a bullet hose I will be uber disappointed. I would also welcome a tenet glaxion that is essentially a primary version of ocucor as an alt fire mode as well XD. Imagine a cold claw beam it would be so epic.

Couldn't you also go a progenitor of magnetic, and use it against the corpus now that they're gonna buff shields and changing damage scaling?
Use it along with that one arcane that pulls in enemies 18 meters away when they die with magnetic status.
