Went To my local ( Joann's fabric ) and bought the strap material, many colors to chose from and took it to my local Tailor and had it sewed on for $10.00. Love it thanks for the tip.
5.11 has been doing that pull tab for over 2 years on their LVC, Skyweight and now the Covert line. Just surprised that it's not just a must for any EDC bag that is claiming to be CCW friendly. Also so cheap to add during manufacturing. Hopefully Eberlestock sees this for 2.0
Ya I always remembered 511 being the first. I work all “CCW”slings and Danny packs had some form of rapid access. Seconds matter you know. Hopefully Eberlestock makes adjustments. We’ll see. Thanks for watching!
@@mikeydailycarry keep up the great content brother. Always learn something new. And OMG they just opened a Daiso in Austin so going there to get that mesh baggy. Perfect to drop in a bag!! Genius!
@eddievillalba4588 Thank you for the helpful info. I went onto the 5.11 website and was able to order the LVC - On sale. I didn't want to have to find someone to sew on a quick-release tab, if they're made for CCW they should have the tab!
Outstanding! I'm about pick up the XXL since I've had on my list for a while and definitely adding the pull tab. Thanks for this one! I've watched one of your vids a while back and not sure why I didn't subscribe. Done!
Just switched from eb bando, vertx socp and long walks to an alpaka tech max. Ipad side I run a holster, holds G43x. And mags. Dark angel med kit, other edc items fit niceless. Is xpac material and available in diff colors. I got black with high vis orange interior. More organizatoon. Doesnt have a tactical brand on it like 511, vertx, ebelestocke, etc all do.
Great video! I agree with you about personal safety concerns, especially when traveling, getting robbed on vacation is painful enough, but getting robbed with an authentic bag is even worse. To me, it makes sense to travel with a fake luxrul bag and not carry any valuables that you would miss. Also, if your bag gets damaged by dust, stains, accidents, whatever it is, it doesn't matter even if it's fake.
Dude I've been going back and forth between the 945 industries pack and the Bando or bando xl. I think you helped me out with this video I like the Bando more now just seems less conspicuous and more plain looking, probably doesn't scream "there's a gun in here" quite as much as the 945, idk. Organization seems better as well. I have a vertx long walks edc waist pack right now, hate the straps and strap hardware and it's thick, not really doing it for me anymore. Have you seen the hill people gear waist pack?
It’s definitely a tough choice. I would be lying, though if I said that I rocked the Bando more than the 945. The ergonomics of the rapid access pulltab on the 945 in my opinion is just much more swift than the one that I did myself on the Bando. I honestly have not heard about the Hill people gear.
Great question. Before it gets to the point of someone trying to take my bag I like to be vigilant and situational aware of my surroundings. At a minimum I always carry a fixed blade on my strong side outside of the bag, pepper gel handy on my weak side. Hopefully I can use those to allow me to get to my firearm. But at a minimum always being situationally aware gets me a long way.
This person has an excessive amount of things that aren’t truly crucial for EDC. Eventually you start carrying too many things that create bulk and weight due to having the “available” space, this ideology potentially could affect your ability to quickly draw your gun. This is supposed to be a gun carry bag to free up pockets and reduce an immediate identifiable signature of ccw. Not a man purse.
While I’m no instructor in fanny pack carry, you will see that a common trend I preach in my videos is to practice with your gear no matter what it is. EDC is endless when it comes to its possibilities and parameters and is not a one size fits all. Thanks for watching though!
@@mikeydailycarry Didn’t mean to be mean or anything, however, EDC has more beginnings with CCW and certain details and practices will always be more successful for increasing your chances of drawing a firearm under stress in a deadly use of force event. “Endless possibilities and parameters for every day carry” is one aspect for how you can structure what you carry for items, sure for knick knacks and such. With that said, what is your priority, ability to carry “stuff” for convenience of use or the ability to conceal a firearm and draw quickly if the need was there to defend innocent life. Mission dictates tactics and equipment carry. That’s all I meant. Just my opinion, nothing else. Appreciate the review on the packs. All the best 🤘🏼
No offense taken at all @agentbravom. I like to play a little devils advocate from time to time to challenge ideals from the community. Like me for example I feel that term EDC derived from outdoor adventurers and enthusiasts which different communities adopted. I.E. the tactical community, the collector/ connoisseur scene, and the all other communities who’ve adopted the term. Mine and your ideals actually align in a sense to where we want to be prepared the best way possible in a situation where we unfortunately have to result in drawing for self defense. I lean more towards showing the endless possibilities of carrying all you can while still maintaining practicality. I also try to include examples of the draw even while packs are loaded out at times to give a viewer an idea, in hopes that they can practice to have it make sense for them.

Glad I was able to help! Practice practice!
Just got this bag recently and love the hack! Can you tell me what width is the strap material please.
@j.kentpendley-ny5fe width of strap is exactly 1 inch. Hope this helps

@scott3734 nice! Hope you enjoy it
I already love the bag and just made the purchase. This tip just took the bag to another level
Awesome! Glad I can help!
Great idea on the pull tab!!! That’s the reason I returned my eberlestock and picked up the Helicon Tex… plus it was a lil larger!
Great ingenuity. My Bando bag is arriving tomorrow! All the best 👍

Now this is an actual hack that delivers...nicely done. Will be doing this one.
Helpful tip! Thanks Mike!
You got it!!
Thanks so much for sharing this mod Mikey!! You the man fr! gonna save some seconds with this in a situation
Fellow “South Paw” with a new Bando Bag really appreciates this tip.
Let’s go lefties!

I don't understand why Eberlestock doesn't just make this standard on all the Bando bags??
Nice!! I have two Bandos xl . Ideas on what I can use for a pull tab ? Thanks
amzn.to/3ZAfvUZ or any other nylon straps you have lying around the house will do
@@mikeydailycarry thank you for the idea. Keep creating great content!
Where do you attach the quick access tab on the bando?
Can you show a close up of how & where to sew on the strap?
My bando doesn't have the strap for the TQ. Wonder when they added that.
I think it was a latest mod they did
dope good thinking!!
Thank you!
What first aid pouch was that?
EDC medical pouch by live the creed
Where did you get the little pouch from? I looked up dyso and couldn't find it. Maybe. Spelling it wrong.
Daiso is a storefront. I honestly don’t think they have online stores.
This is the hack i was looking for! The Elite bags has this but the Bando look cooler.
Nice video but, what if they try to take your bag? Don’t you rather keep it on you?

Great Idea! Engage time cut by 2/3 at least.
Absolutely!
Good job.
Is this the xL or regular one?
Standard
👍
It is a very nice hack, but it kind of gives away the fact that you’re carrying a gun.
The pull tab doesn’t stay upright so it actually slouches down
