I picked up a new light for this season. I gotta say it’s pretty slick! It’s a Lezyne Helmet Drive 1200. Seems to fit the bill! Hope you enjoy this one!
Wow, riding trails in the dark looks to be a different ball game to the daytime! It looks fun. Even though you know the area inside-out, do you back off a bit? Only being able to see 10-15 feet ahead must really make you focus. Presumably you have the place to yourself at that time of day.
Yeah I’m a tad slower at night then during the day especially for these first night rides. As I do some more night riding I can pick it up a bit more. Some trails that are really tight I’m roughly the same pace since I can see the same amount night vs day. I wish the camera was more stable at night but it has a hard time with the low light.
Thanks! Yeah I really like it. I kind of fell into night riding. I would mostly ride before work and as the days get shorter what used to be daylight is now dark. I’m happy I tried it out though bc it sure is fun!
It sure is different at night! I wish the camera would do more justice. It has a hard time stabilizing with the low light. Night riding sure is addicting though, it kind of opens things up as far as when you can ride. Suddenly you can ride anytime!
@@ivanmtb00 It makes you really focus on the trail at night..it's quite suspenseful! People in the distance must spin out seeing bright lights hurtling down a trail would be quite the sight!😄
Funny you mention that, I was riding the one morning and a friend noticed me in the darkness. He said he thought it was a dirt bike at first but then remember I usually ride that time of day. I did go once with a friend for a night ride and it was a blast. I gotta say it was really cool seeing him come down the trail with all the lights. Wish I had my GoPro!

That new light looks like a good product, I'll keep it in mind if I ever need one. I hove not tried any night riding yet but looks fun.
