I’ve felt this about the goons of ‘68. I was alive and kicking back in the day. This young man has done some fine research and I support his theories.
So strange. I was sweet sixteen in 1968. It was a coming of age year for me. I recall the MLK assassination. I recall the Bobby Kennedy assassination. I recall a massive turning away from network television, pop culture in general, toward alternative media choices as existed at that time. I recall rooting around for alternative information about the Vietnam war, the fledging roots of ecological awareness, and also what was still an unbelievably benign economic substructure that was kinder to low-down people than anything we've seen since.
But I also recall being able to move around in my world and adapt and adopt ideas as an autonomous free agent. I recall moving through a personal evolution in which I had no "identity" as that concept is understood now. I disagreed at will with all kinds of things, with no fear that my dissent would adversely affect me or my prospects.
1968 might have been a turning point for some things - but most of that impact barely sank down to the roots of centrist society. We were left alone.
Oh, and one dearly remembered cultural artifact from that year (coming along sometime in the early Autumn of 1968.
A curious 45rpm hit single hit the airwaves and immediately launched itself at us all with such fury and sound that we were quite amazed. It was a thing designed partly to erase the somewhat failed attempt by the band earlier in the year, with a strange bit of 3rd rate effort entitled Lady Madonna. Yow.
But this new tune - jumped out with a vigor possibly not expressed by the band since their Hamburg days. Yes, it was the Beatles of course. And the song was at least 99% John Lennon, if not entirely. And it was called Revolution. And yes it was absolutely in lockstep with the political posturing of the times.
There was a line in the song that from first listen, grabbed me and never let go.
Even though it would be another ten years, almost, before I was to understand, as a researcher of modern Chinese history (regarding the Chinese Cultural Revolution).
That line captured my imagination and intrigued me infinitely more than that longwinded thing that was actually on the B side of the single, offered up by Paul McCartney - hey Jude
(although the line, "For well you know that it's a fool, who plays it cool, by making his world a little colder). Nice line.
But enough.

Chris Rufo is rendering an excellent service to the American people. As he says, we have to prepare for a great fight, and he's right because the nation's future is at stake.
Hillsdale College is one of the few colleges worth its salt. Thank you to the faculty and everyone involved in educating and leading our younger generation to think for themselves and to love and value all that this great country has to offer.
A couple quotes I extracted from Mr. Rufo’s talk:
“We want free enterprise and competition but what we don’t want to have is cartel organizations; ideological and economic cartels dictating the terms from up high down to the average person.”
“We want to have narratives and especially pedagogies that inspire kids, that help kids transcend maybe their differences, aiming them towards excellence, aiming them towards their greatest accomplishments. As you look at the public polling data it is very clear. The Manhattan Institute released polling data from America’s 20 fastest growing cities. These are places that are very diverse; a lot of young families - people trying to move their way up the ladder to live the American Dream. The numbers were quite clear. Parents opposed lessons on critical race theory, systemic racism, and white privilege by I believe a 42 percent margin. Overwhlelmimg! And this includes a majority of parents who are white, black, Latino, Asian - so a majority of every racial demographic. And they want to have an education that speaks the values of these everyday people: “I just want to have my kid have a chance to come up in the world, to do better that I could do. To get a great job, to raise a great family.” They sense that this is going to be crushed by these people who occupy positions of enormous power and privilege, that have this poisonous and nihilistic ideology…that they want to impose from the top down. So I think the best way to overcome it is not to be a Pollyanna. You have to acknowledge the historical existence of racism in the United States, for example. But always put it in the context of the country’s highest ideals and the country’s steady progress towards realizing them.”

The facts are that 3 of the Disney employees were charged with soliciting a prostitute...over 18. One employee was charged with soliciting a minor. Disney is a corporation with over 77,000 employees, so maybe next time you should think a little before you post a statement that bashes the entire company.

I am listening and live in Canada and I am a senior of 74 yy. I am in a personal position today of being humble but with Divine Consciousness because I got rid of the blantant programing of being small and not having the overall innerstanding or understanding about our institutions and that we are magical and beautiful people when we are allowed to evolve. My Grandmother came to Canada when she was 7 yy. I was brought up in eastern Canada on a farm and attended a one room school house. My Grandmother was my best teacher. We have lost the real concept of how to teach. I teach in a very flowing and inclusive way and using many skills. My students and most of their parents loved me. In my 11.1 years of teaching only one principal recognized my talents and he had white hair (like I have today). He is the only principal I ever had who innerstood my style and way of teaching. I didnt attend public education until I was six and one half years young and I feel just being in nature and being with a very loving, caring, sensitive woman helped me set the foundation of freedom, choice and wonder. I was forced out of the second largest school district in Canada and I could never make a living. Today, my husband is dead because he swallowed the poisonious pill of deceit, corruption.... all to get ahead to make the almighty dollars. His Grandfather was a doctor and I have issues there as well. So many diseases could be stopped but money is more important than doing the right thing. I will continue to listen to what you are going to say in regard to the alphabet companies and how they were infilitrated or were always set up for the elite.
This so acurately captures the fight we are in to protect Freedom from those who would tear our Country down.

Radicalism in the educational institutions goes all the way back to the 1920s, and progressivism much earlier. The New Deal and the wartime alliance with the USSR helped given them more legitimacy so by the time the university population expladed they were well entrenched. I remember at at UT Austin, a “conservative” university, progressivism was quite strong. with graduate students very supportive f the idea that the USA was the aggressor in the Cold War. They were of course involved in the civil-rights movement but mainly because they thought to the blacks are proletarians.

In Canada, I ran three times to become school board trustee. Sadly, the whole education system is broken at every level.
I think only to 3rd grade is ridiculous. Those topics have no business being taught at all but if they must then not before high school.

From what I have witnessed this “new math process”serves to further stymie independent thinking of our youth and punishes creative thinking😵🤮

I am heart-broken to admit that Secretary of education over the last 20 years, perhaps at minimum the last decade has been implementing strategies that stifles our ability to raise and producing leaders in science, math and technology resulting in naïve compliant “Yes, ma’am” and “Yes Sir” mentality.
I hope somebody with the means and courage will invest time and resources to make this evaluation a priority.
