Hi Ken, I'm not aware of any racks that will work on the rear of this bike. There are no mounting points on the rear swingarm and since it has a dropper seat post you can't really attach to that.
Will do, I got out this morning for a test ride and just need to put the video together! The Nitro is a solid climber for sure, it did incredibly well on a 4000 foot climb and over rocky terrain! Please check out the video later today! Cheers
Thanks for your video. I hesitate between Ranger and Nitro, do you think the quality and performances between both worth money difference ? And 2024 Nitro does have the air fork now ? Thanks for answer from France 😏
Hello, while I like the Nitro my favorite bike by far is the Ranger. I find myself riding that bike more than any other I have just because it is so fun and really does everything well. You'll want to upgrade the fork to an air unit, maybe change the gear ratios to suite your kind of riding, etc. Some tweaking involved for sure but you end up with such a fun bike. I'm not sure if the 2024 nitro has an air fork but I hope it does. In order to compete with other full suspension M620 mid drive bikes out there the nitro suspension needs to be upgraded to full air, 4 piston brakes would be nice as well as a 52v battery. The Nitro is in a very competitive category and is up against some very nice bikes. Cheers
@@lifebehindbarz60Thanks a lot for your advice, i believe that I'm going to decide me for the Ranger, and perhaps the Trax for my wife, wheel motors are more reliable for the powertrain, sprockets, chain... Best regards😊
I have a Heybike Brawn and it shows watts being used. I like this feature and try to use 200 to 350 watts so I get good mileage, up to 50 miles on a charge and I weigh 200 and carry probably 20 to 40 lbs in my pack with me. I'd like a full sussy though. But the Brawn has been very impressive.
Hello, I had to look up the Brawn, I hadn't seen it before (a thousand makes / models out there). Happy to hear you like it, just like the Ranger, with a few easy relatively inexpensive mods you can make it into a great ride. I have a bunch of videos on what I've done to the Ranger, you might want to check them out for ideas! Cheers
Hi Kevin, the Mega is a killer looking bike and has a solid list of components. It comes in two sizes from what I remember and is also customizable from the factory..... that's pretty cool. Nireeks is getting the reputation for producing some good carbon fiber frames. My only concern with the Mega is the frame material, and it's just my personal experience talking here, nothing to do with Nireeka itself. I've cracked two carbon bike frames in my life, the only frame material I've ever cracked. One was an Orbea and one was a Cannondale. I've never cracked an aluminum frame and love the ride quality of the aluminum. I know for a fact that aluminum handles a rock hit way better than carbon. The last time I looked you could find a new Mega for around $1000 less than this Nitro, so that is another thing that makes that cool bike so attractive! I've never seen one on the trails to take a close in-person look at, but hope to one of these days! Cheers
Hello, sorry I have not ridden the lankeleisi mg740 plus. Reviews on it look good. I do know that dual hub motors in the dirt can feel a little squirrely, but if you plan to ride on the road a dusl motor bike can be a lot of fun! Cheers
Hey Tom what were your thoughts on the bike one you road it around. I road one at the dealer and liked my ranger better😁 mid drive was great but i really had an issue with the front end. It was real pancakey or real heavy turning the wheel left or right. Don't know if it was just a bad build but was really uncomfortable.
Hi Lance, I'm surprised that you have a Cyrusher dealer near you where you can go demo bikes! I don't believe there are any dealers here in the United States, just a distributor. The Nitro still has performance issues / problems that I'm trying to figure out. I'm in touch with the guys at Bafang USA, but haven't been able to fix anything yet. Since the Nitro currently has electrical issues I've barely ridden it. I love the Ranger and so far the Nitro doesn't even come close to it. That may change once the Nitro is operating at 100% and I have the new air fork on it that Cyrusher has promised to send me. Like you I'm not too excited about the spring fork that came stock on it. So far I'm not sold on the mid drive motor either. Just a different feel that I'm not sure I like. We'll see. Cheers
Another great review Tom, thanks. I was waiting for this as a possible upgrade for my Ranger but can't justify the extra £1800 cost. I can't believe that Cyrusher are advertising air forks and fitting springs, I can see how disappointed you are. The 1000 watt motor would be illegal in the UK where we are limited to 250 watts for road use. I'm sticking with my Ranger.
Seriously over priced for the spec. For £1500 less you can have a full carbon Dengfu e56, with proper mountain geometry. Nitro is a joke. Cashing in on the popularity of the over priced ranger.
Hi Murray, I'll put some time in on the Nitro in the coming weeks and give my observations as I go. The bike looks great other than the fork, which is a shame. I'm sure the designers had this bike spec'd with air forks but somewhere along the way they got replaced with inferior spring units. That one move will hurt the sales of this bike more than they can possibly imagine. Hopefully they will correct this mistake and maybe even send me a set of air forks to install! Yup, keep you Ranger, it's a really good bike! Cheers
@@lifebehindbarz60 they did exactly the same with the Ranger. When I first looked at the spec it said it had air forks but as you know it didn't, just had the spring forks. They didn't send us all another set of forks they just changed the spec on the website. That's why many of us are switching our forks. I know you don't go on the Facebook group but there's a few people angry about that. I've seen a couple of RUclips reviews on the Ranger where they say the air forks are good, not realising they're spring forks. I don't think many people would know the difference.
@@murraylaban4938 I know Murray, all the early reviews of the Ranger ( tested in town on bike trails) referred to the "air forks". That is as you say, because Cyrusher had them listed as air forks in the specs. No one reviewing early on checked to confirm. If I were to look back at my Ranger unboxing video I probably did the same thing (although I quickly found out they were spring forks) because that was what I had read. People have a right to be angry about such a huge misrepresentation. Hopefully the company will make this right and not just omit the word "air" from their website!
Great specification review on the nitro, just wondering it came with orange reflectors on the spokes did you take them off? Also what are those round orange circle bits around the whole wheel are they reflectors aswell are they removable ? It does not show them on their website pictures.
Hello, yes I did remove the spoke reflectors. I personally don't like them and wear enough reflective clothing that no one will miss me at night! The orange dots you are seeing are the orange rim strips on the inside of the rim. They show through the big holes in the rims (I don't know if those were originally done for looks or as an attempt to lighten the rim). I have a couple of wheels sets like this, they are not uncommon, and I personally like the look. I question if those cutouts in the rim are going to be places for mud to collect on an off road bike, have to wait and see. I'll show the rims more closely in my first ride video so you can see what I'm describing. Cheers
I watched the video until the end, bravo for the objective analysis of this bike, but frankly for the price it's not right: spring fork, no mudguard, no lighting, poor packaging, no integral foam as on the ranger, and finally insufficient instructions, that's a lot for the price .... Can the tektro double piston brakes be put on the ranger?, see you soon to follow your test in the field
Hi Syl, thanks for watching! You are correct to point out all those things. I forgot to mention in the video that the Cyrusher site says the bike comes with 4 piston brakes and it came with 2 piston brakes. Add that to the list. People buy these mail order bikes based on the description. When that is not what they get then they get mad, and rightfully so. Yes the Tektro brakes are a direct replacement for the stock Logan brakes on the Ranger. If you're thinking of it as an upgrade don't bother, they are essentially the same brake with the same performance. Cheers
great review! i would be fuming if i had paid so much for a bike and they dont give what they advertise, also so many adjustments that just should be okay from the start.. im very disappointed.. what really was crazy was the shocks and mudguards, you have no option to install mudguards on such expensive bike? what was the design team thinking when designing this bike..
Hello Metal, yes this was the first time I've unpacked a new ebike and had it require so many adjustments. I find that to be unusual and hope for the companies sake that it was just the last one someone had to put together on a Friday afternoon! My Ranger came out of the box with perfect adjustments. I'm a little confused on what the design team was thinking too. The bike should at least have the ability to add fenders. If they were going solely for the mountain bike market then they shouldn't have downgraded the fork to something no serious mountain biker would want. It's a little like this bike is still in the development stage......
Hello, the fork is a Himalo air fork. If you subscribe to my channel all my videos will be available to you and you will see a number of videos about installing and riding the Ranger with this fork! Cheers
Congratulations on your new bike it looks good but the fork.... what are these guys thinking? They can't sell you an air fork and give you a spring fork you could even call that a scam in my opinion 🤔
Hi Ares, I agree that's a major component of the bike to be downgrading without disclosing the change. I understand that small components on bikes are often substituted with other parts due to availability. Things like seats / grips / stems / pedals, etc. This big downgrade is going to really hurt the sales of these bikes. Hopefully they will make the change back to the originally specified air fork. Cheers
