I liked this show best of all the Arrowverse because of Alex. None of the other Arrowverse shows had a secondary character that mattered as much as the hero. I think Caitlin on the flash was close, but nothing like Alex.
I kept thinking of her as angry Alex and I was hoping she would soften a little with Maggie, and she did most of the time. However, she still had some rage within her that she needs to deal with and maybe then she'll quit drinking and let herself be happy.

In S1, I always thought of her as Angry Alex and wondered when she would get mean in every episode That changed half way through S2 when Maggie happened and she didn't get angry every episode. I started to like her then.
